| Rapid urbanization has changed the original regional ecosystem and pattern, the agglomeration of industries, the increase of employment opportunities, the distribution of resources, and especially the spatial utilization structure of land resources has undergone tremendous changes. The ecological space is faced with the occupation of urban life and agricultural production to varying degrees, which reshapes the structure and layout of urban and rural ecosystems and directly disturbs the service capacity of regional ecosystems. As the space carrier for the urban circle to play the ecological service function, the ecological space is an important functional area to meet the needs of urban and rural residents’ production, life and ecological security. The products and services provided have encountered new requirements and challenges. The functionality of ecological space needs to be further extended and developed. The ecological space function supports the high-quality development and construction of the urban circle, and needs to be strategically adjusted as its multi-functional needs change, and new ecological space management models should be explored.Under this circumstance, strengthening the multi-functional adaptive management of ecological space is beneficial to balance the ecological structure and process of national land space. In this paper,2000,2010,and 2020 are used as time sections, the Wuhan city circle is used as the research area, and the kilometer grid is used as the spatial carrier.Firstly, the classification and identification of ecological space and the analysis of changes in spatial pattern are carried out to find out the utilization of ecological space in Wuhan urban circle; The function evaluation index system uses the spatialization method of the index data grid to realize the refined evaluation of the multi-function of ecological space, and clarify the evolution characteristics and driving mechanism of the multifunction of ecological space in Wuhan urban circle. Finally, based on the logical framework of dynamic management, corresponding ecological space multi-functional adaptive management countermeasures are proposed. The research conclusions are as follows:(1)From 2000 to 2020,the temporal and spatial evolution paths of various functions of the ecological space of Wuhan metropolitan area were significantly different. The evolution of climate regulation function is significantly different from east to west, mainly manifested as an increase in the east and a decrease in the west, with an overall increase of 10.49%.During the study period, the functions of water conservation and habitat maintenance were first enhanced and then weakened. Most of the areas with enhanced landscape conservation function are located in the southern part of the Wuhan metropolitan area, and most of the weakened areas are located in the central and western parts of the Wuhan metropolitan area. The soil conservation function shows a continuous weakening trend, while the leisure and recreation function show a continuous increase, with an increase of 2.25% and 5.71% in the two time periods respectively, the overall enhancement potential is large.(2)From 2000 to 2020,there were obvious differences in the temporal and spatial pattern of the total function of ecological space in Wuhan metropolitan area. The average value of the total functions of ecological space continued to increase, but the increase rate decreased, with an overall increase of 8.51%.The eastern and southern parts of the Wuhan metropolitan area have strong overall ecological space functions, which are an important support for the improvement of the total ecological space function value. The overall functional level of ecological space in the western plains is relatively low.In the future, the protection of ecological space will be strengthened and the overall functional level of ecological space will be steadily improved.(3)From 2000 to 2020,the effects of social-ecological-economic driving factors on the multi-functionality of ecological space in Wuhan metropolitan area were significantly different.Land use pattern, vegetation coverage and topographic factors have the greatest impact on the multi-functionality of ecological land.Vegetation coverage had the greatest impact on climate regulation and landscape protection, both of which showed an increasing trend. The land use pattern had the greatest impact on habitat maintenance and recreational functions, but the degree of impact gradually decreased. The influence of climatic factors on water conservation and soil conservation was relatively large and both showed an upward trend, but the topographic slope factor had the greatest influence on the latter.(4)The adaptive management process of ecological space includes 4 key steps:(1)Conducting the analysis of the current situation of ecological space, clarifying the key ecological base, existing problems and elements of ecological space;(2)Formulating management objectives and ecological space planning;(3)Implementing ecological space Protect the planning scheme and carry out dynamic monitoring;(4)Regularly evaluate the implementation effect of the scheme, timely feedback information and improve management strategies.Based on the multi-functional type of ecological space and the driving mechanism of multi-functional evolution, considering the three perspectives of functional space, physical space and management space, the overall planning of elements is promoted through functional balance evaluation.Through the evaluation of functional balance, the coordination of elements is promoted, and then the hierarchical management of ecological space is realized.According to the logical framework of adaptive management, the suitability of regional application is considered from the aspects of management level, economic status, management demands, and then the countermeasures and suggestions for ecological space adaptive management are put forward. |
