The sustainable development of agriculture is a key issue related to the survival and development of human beings.Agricultural eco-efficiency is an important indicator to measure the sustainability of agriculture and an important field of ecological efficiency research at home and abroad. The Yangtze River economic belt is the main agricultura production area in China. This paper constructs eco-efficiency evaluation theory and model, establishes its evaluation index system, adopts single-stage and two-stage game cross-DEA model to measure Agricultural eco-efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Zone, analyzes the time and space distribution characteristics of efficiency, and establishes Tobit regression model to analyze the determinants of agricultural ecological efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Zone.It is of great significance to understand the current situation of its agricultural development and to explore the path of agricultural yield increase and ecological protection. The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)During the 29 years from 1990 to 2018,most of the agricultural ecological efficiency values of the provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt were between 0.8-1.The efficiency first decreased and then increased, and the efficiency convergence characteristics were obvious. The efficiency value of the upstream region is low and fluctuates the most. The efficiency values of the midstream and downstream regions were higher than the overall average during 1992-2013.Starting from 2014,the efficiency value of the downstream region was still higher than the average, and the efficiency value of the midstream region was lower,The efficiency stability of different regions is small.(2)From 1990 to 2018,from the perspective of the spatial distribution characteristics of the three types of high, medium, and low agricultural eco-efficiency in the Yangtze River Economic Zone, the high efficiency values are concentrated and contiguous, and the upper, middle and lower reaches are all distributed, with the largest number; The medium efficiency values are scattered, and the number of provinces and cities involved is small, and the low efficiency values are scattered, and the number of provinces and cities involved is the least. It shows that the agglomeration characteristics of agricultural ecological efficiency are not significant, and the spatial differentiation is strong.(3)The results of the two-stage Agricultural eco-efficiency evaluation show that the structure of Agricultural eco-efficiency can be divided into two types:balanced and unbalanced:the efficiency and sales of agricultural production in the five provinces and cities of Jiangsu,Sichuan,Hunan,Hubei, and Anhui based on the dominant production calculation Stage efficiency is high,Zhejiang and Yunnan have low production and circulation efficiency;Jiangxi,Guizhou,Chongqing, and Shanghai have higher production efficiency than circulation efficiency and present an imbalanced pattern. With the dominant sales efficiency,Jiangsu,Anhui,Shanghai,Sichuan,Zhejiang, and Hubei have higher ecological efficiency in the production and circulation stages;Yunnan,Guizhou,Hubei, and Jiangxi are more efficient in the production stage than in the circulation stage;in the Chongqing sales stage The efficiency is higher, and the performance is unbalanced. This provides a new way to improve agricultural ecological efficiency.(4)There are significant differences in influencing factors on the three scales of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,Belt Section and Province. On the whole, the level of education, the affected area of agriculture, and the level of agricultural mechanization have a significant negative impact on the agricultural eco-efficiency.The consumption level and urbanization rate have a significant positive impact on the agricultural eco-efficiency,while the other factors have no significant impact. From the analysis of the belt, the level of education in the upstream area has a significant impact on the agricultural ecological efficiency, the level of agricultural mechanization in the middle reaches, the consumption level of rural residents, the urbanization rate, and the expenditure on agricultural, forestry and water affairs have a significant impact on the agricultural ecological efficiency.Area has a significant impact on agricultural ecological efficiency. From the perspective of provinces, there are obvious differences in environmental factors affecting agricultural eco-efficiency in various provinces and cities. In terms of the main influencing factors, the support of agriculture, forestry and water affairs has a significant impact on the Agricultural eco-efficiency of Yunnan,Guizhou,Hunan,Jiangxi and Anhui. The education level of the labor force has a significant impact on the Agricultural eco-efficiency of Yunnan,Guizhou,Jiangxi and Zhejiang. They are the influencing factors of agricultural eco-efficiency in Guizhou,Chongqing,Jiangxi and Anhui;in terms of the diversity of environmental factors of agricultural eco-efficiency,Jiangxi’s agricultural eco-efficiency is significantly affected by environmental factors, the education level of labor force, the affected area of agriculture, and urbanization Rates, multiple cropping index, expenditure on agriculture, forestry and water affairs,Anhui’s Agricultural eco-efficiency is significantly affected by the affected area of agriculture, multiple cropping index, expenditure on agriculture, forestry and water affairs.Guizhou’s agricultural ecological efficiency is affected by the education level of the labor force, the affected area of agriculture, and expenditure on agriculture, forestry and water affairs.Significantly, except for Sichuan and Shanghai, exogenous variables have a significant impact on the agricultural ecological efficiency of all provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt. This result means that the differences in the types and quantities of environmental factors of eco-efficiency in different regions can provide a targeted decision-making reference for the improvement of eco-efficiency. |
