Geological relics are precious and non-renewable natural products which are formed,developed and preserved by the combined action of internal and external forces.Among them,stratotype sections and paleobiotas are of great scientific significance for exploring the relationship between organisms and environment,restoring the paleogeographic evolution,and tracing the separation and aggregation of ancient plates.Anhui Province is rich in geological relics,and its stratigraphic profiles and paleontological groups are remarkably representative,which has attracted extensive attention.Based on this,77 important stratotype sections with different geological ages and 46 paleontological fossils are selected for comprehensive evaluation in Anhui province.A four-layer geological heritage evaluation system is established from six dimensions,including value and function,natural attributes,regional economic level,facility conditions,geographical environment conditions and tourist source area conditions.In this paper,the weighted method and the model method were used to evaluate the two kinds of relics respectively and the thematic map was used to show the evaluation results.Combined with the grading results obtained by 4 methods-Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP),Entropy weight method,Grey Relational analysis method and Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)and the field situation,the comprehensive evaluation results and protection grades of the two types of heritage sites were given.According to the evaluation results,the advantages,disadvantages and applicable occasions of the two types of comprehensive evaluation methods were compared and analyzed.The last,based on the evaluation results,combined with stratigraphic sections in Anhui province and ancient geological relics protection present situation,this paper puts forward some feasible protection and development suggestions.Choosing six sites corresponding to different "geological + " models to plan to build the geo-cultural villages(towns).The research results of stratotype sections and paleobiotas evaluation can help us to understand the present situation of stratotype sections and paleobiotas in Anhui Province.It provides decision support for the protection and sustainable development of geological relics in Anhui Province,exploitation-making basis for the establishment of geoparks and geo-cultural villages(towns)with Anhui characteristics,and reference for other geological heritage evaluation in the future.
