In recent years,emerging environmental resource issues have posed great challenges to China's economic development.Coordinating the relationship between the economy and environment is the key to implementing a sustainable development strategy."Made in China 2025" proposes a concept about combination of innovation-driven and green development to promote the healthy development of our economy.As a combination of the two major national development strategies,green innovation will certainly become an important engine and key choice for the green transformation and development of China's economy.The green innovation efficiency is an important measure for the development level of green innovation.Improving green innovation efficiency plays an important role in coordinating the relationship between society,economy,resources and environment.Therefore,in order to enrich research on the field of green innovation,this thesis conducts a systematic study on the differences,influencing factors,and promotion paths of China's provinces green innovation efficiency.The research contents mainly include the following aspects:(1)The article analyzes the static trends,dynamic trends and inefficiency sources of green innovation efficiency.By establishing an input-output index system,it compares the difference of efficiency based on ignoring and considering undesired output,and then analyzes the trend of green innovation efficiency from a dynamic perspective with the Malmquist index,the resource allocation,input redundancy and output inadequacy.The results show that green innovation efficiency is generally low,there are differences in the level of efficiency between provinces,and technological progress has a greater impact on the total factor productivity of green innovation.The main obstacles for innovation efficiency improvement are the excessive discharge of environmental pollutants,followed by the allocation and utilization of input-output resources.(2)The thesis analyzes the effect of influencing factors and the spatial correlation characteristics of green innovation efficiency.The exploratory spatial data analysis method is used to test the spatial dependence of green innovation efficiency.Based on spatial econometric models and spatial weight matrices,the effects of six factors including economic development level,industrial structure,openness,government support,environmental regulation and human capital level are analyzed.The resultsshow that there is a significant spatial positive correlation between green innovation efficiency.The agglomeration characteristics of green innovation efficiency between provinces are constantly changing.Factors such as economic development level,industrial structure,openness,government support,and environmental regulations all have a significant positive impact,and industrial structure is the most critical influencing factor.(3)The thesis explores the improving path of green innovation efficiency.The systematic cluster analysis method is used to divide the 30 provinces into 6 categories,and analyzes the distribution characteristics of the green innovation efficiency and influencing factors in the six categories.Finally,considering the influencing factors such as economic development level,industrial structure,openness,government support,environmental regulations,human capital,and green innovation efficiency,specific promotion countermeasures for improving green innovation efficiency are proposed.
