As a pillar industry of economic development,manufacturing industry plays an important role in the development of national economy and social stability.Although my country has become a big manufacturing country,the problems of high energy consumption,high pollution and high emissions in the development of the manufacturing industry are still prominent.Green innovation has opened a new stage in the development of my country’s manufacturing industry and pointed out the direction for the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the new era.The deep integration of the digital economy and the manufacturing industry has innovated the development model from all aspects of production,consumption,and circulation,and is an important national strategy to promote the green transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.This has not only changed the global competitive landscape,but also constituted an important theoretical and practical topic of widespread global concern.In this context,it is of great research significance to explore the impact path and role of the digital economy on the efficiency of green innovation in the manufacturing industry.This paper selects the manufacturing green innovation efficiency as the explained variable,and the digital economy development level as the explanatory variable.Based on the green innovation theory and the digital economy theory,the theoretical influence mechanism and empirical research are carried out.The main research contents are: First,analyze the status quo of the development of the digital economy and manufacturing industry,and use the entropy method to measure the development level of the digital economy from the three dimensions of digital economy infrastructure,digital economy industrialization,and industrial digitization to obtain a comprehensive digital economy index.,using the super-efficiency SBM model to calculate the green innovation efficiency of the manufacturing industry from the four aspects of green innovation activity input,energy input,expected output and undesired output,and obtain the manufacturing green innovation efficiency of each province.On this basis,the differences in the development level of the digital economy and the green innovation efficiency of the manufacturing industry in each province are analyzed,and the regional differences are compared into three regions: east,middle and west;secondly,a spatial econometric model is constructed based on the measurement results.Before constructing the spatial econometric model,the Moran index was used to test the spatial autocorrelation of manufacturing green innovation efficiency,and then the LM test,Hausman test and LR test were carried out on the used spatial econometric model,and the spatial lag model was determined to be used.The validity of the empirical research on the impact of the digital economy level on the green innovation efficiency of the manufacturing industry is studied,and the regional heterogeneity of the digital economy on the green innovation efficiency of the manufacturing industry is tested through sub-sample regression;finally,according to the research conclusions,from the perspective of digital economy development,Provide advice on improving the efficiency of green innovation in manufacturing.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)There are significant differences in the development level of the digital economy in various provinces and cities in my country,but the overall digital economy level is increasing year by year.At the same time,the regional differences in the development level of my country’s digital economy are obvious,and there is a large digital divide,showing the characteristics of high in the east and low in the west.(2)There are also large regional differences in the green innovation efficiency of manufacturing in various provinces and cities in my country.The green innovation efficiency of manufacturing in the eastern region is higher than that in the central and western regions,showing a fluctuating upward trend as a whole.The average annual growth rate of green innovation efficiency in the western manufacturing industry is relatively high.The average annual growth rate of green innovation efficiency in manufacturing is faster than that in the central and eastern regions,and the gap between the green innovation efficiency in the central and western regions is decreasing year by year.(3)The green innovation efficiency of manufacturing industry has obvious spatial agglomeration characteristics,that is,the green innovation efficiency of local manufacturing industry will be affected by neighboring regions.From the perspective of control variables,factors such as industrial structure,infrastructure and human capital have a significant role in promoting the efficiency of green innovation in the manufacturing industry,while environmental regulation and market opening have a certain negative impact on the efficiency of green innovation in the manufacturing industry.(4)In the sub-sample regression,the digital economy has a positive impact on the improvement of the green innovation efficiency of the manufacturing industry in the eastern and central regions,but has no significant effect on the green innovation development of the manufacturing industry in the western region,that is,the digital economy has regional differences in the green innovation efficiency of the manufacturing industry.qualitative.Manufacturing green innovation efficiency has a significant positive spatial spillover effect in the eastern region,but not in the central and western regions.
