Beilun District Of Ningbo City Wetland Plants Research:Resource Investigation And Protection Countermeasures

As an essentially natural and land resource,the wetland has its unique resource potential and environmental regulation function,which is of considerable significance to the human living environment,resource utilization and the sustainable development of economic growth in the society.In recent decades,affected by several aspects in terms of urban infrastructure construction,mass production and living,wetland resources have undergone major changes regarding distribution area,ecological status and threat factors.But there is still a lack of relevant investigation.Wetland plants are the basis and premise of wetland ecological service and an important part of maintaining wetland ecological balance,and wetland plant resources are one of the important resources of wetland.Based on the field investigation of the current situation of wetland and plant resources in Beilun District,Ningbo City,this paper analyzes wetland and accordingly the types,areas and distribution of wetland plants.The paper further illustrates the main factors that threaten wetland resources and putting forward the protection and management countermeasures.The main conclusions are as follows.1)The current situation of wetland in Beilun is mainly composed of offshore wetland,coastal wetland,river wetland and artificial wetland.The offshore and coastal wetlands are the main body of the natural wetland in Beilun District,followed by river wetland.2)The wetland of Beilun is rich in biodiversity,wetland plants,wetland resources,and wetland tourism resources which has its unique advantages.3)Due to the artificial elements: urban infrastructure construction,tidal flat reclamation and development in Beilun in the past years,natural wetlands are becoming increasingly scarce,and the condition is under threats.The threats mainly reflect contradiction of economic development and wetland protection,severe retention problems in river wetland water,the ever-increasing growth of the pest,harsh mechanisms in wetland protection management,the inadequate protection awareness of both the government and the masses about the ecological function of wetland,and relatively sparse measures in research and protection.4)According to the current situation and problems of wetland plant resources in Beilun District,it is necessary to implement a series of measures such as protecting the health of plant resources,stabilizing forest coverage rate,controlling invasive plants and establishing effective wetland plant management scheme.5)According to the present situation and protection of wetland resources in Beilun,this essay puts forward several measurements regarding the enforcement of wetland protection and the block of excessive development.These measurements are including wetland biodiversity conservation,pollution control and management of wetland,the land and water use management,wetland restoration management and sustainable utilization demonstration.
