The transportation industry,as a basic and leading industry in the national economy,has a significant role in promoting economic development.Transportation infrastructure can shorten the distance between regions,reduce the cost of factor flow,guide the rational allocation of factors,and improve regional TFP.Zhongyuan urban agglomeration,as an important node of China's “Belt and Road” and fourth growth pole,is located in the intersection area where the “two horizontal and three vertical” urbanization strategic pattern of the country land bridge channel and the BeijingGuangzhou channel,the "meter" railway transportation network connects north and south,east and west.Zhengzhou,the center of the urban agglomeration,has the largest railway transportation hub in Asia,the transportation conditions are extremely superior.Zhongyuan urban agglomeration is of strategic significance for the construction of the "Belt and Road",the improvement of inland opening,and the coordinated development of the east and central and west regions.Transportation infrastructure is the material basis for carrying out transportation activities,and it has a natural guiding effect on the allocation of factors,so it is of great practical significance to study the impact of transportation infrastructure on TFP.Many scholars have studied the impact of transportation infrastructure on TFP,but TFP ignores energy consumption and environmental pollution in economic activities,there may be errors in economic performance evaluation,and the concept of green TFP came into being.This paper takes the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration as the research object,exploring the impact of transportation infrastructure on green TFP.Firstly,the relevant research results and theories of the influence of transportation infrastructure on green TFP are sorted out,and the influence mechanism of transportation infrastructure on green TFP is analyzed,which is the basis of research.Secondly,the current situation of economic and transportation infrastructure development in the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration is analyzed,and the results show that the economic and transportation infrastructure have achieved considerable development in recent years,but the development of cities in is not balanced.In particular,the economic development level is still far behind the whole country,and industrial structure is dominated by the secondary industry.Thirdly,using the super-efficiency SBM model and the GML index to measure the green TFP of the Zhongyuan urban agglomeration,the results show that the overall green TFP maintains an upward trend,with an average annual growth rate of 5.13%,but the increase is relatively slow.Green technology efficiency and green technology progress jointly promote the growth of green total factor productivity,the former is the main cause.Green TFP has steadily increased in most cities,but the difference between cities is obvious.Finally,taking the green TFP and decomposition terms as the explained variables,transportation infrastructure as the core explanatory variables,and selecting industrial structure,urbanization level,human capital,opening up and government intervention as the control variables,establish a panel data model to discuss the direction,degree and mechanism of transportation infrastructure and related control variables on green TFP.The results show that without considering the control variables,transportation infrastructure has a significant promotion effect on green TFP and decomposition terms,after considering control variables,transportation infrastructure promotes green TFP growth mainly through green technological progress.As for the control variables,the industrial structure mainly plays a significant negative role in green TFP through green technological progress;urbanization level and human capital have a significant positive effect on green TFP mainly through green technology efficiency and green technology progress respectively;the degree of openness to the outside world and government intervention have a negative significant effect on green TFP,but it's not significant,this may be because their negative effect on green TFP is greater than positive effect,and the significance level is not high under the two-way effect,the government should make relevant policies to strengthen the promotion effect and suppress the weakening effect.At the end of this article,according to the main research conclusions,several policy suggestions for promoting the development of transportation infrastructure are proposed,so as to guide the coordinated and sustainable economic development of Zhongyuan urban agglomeration.
