With the rapid development of China's economy,the process of urbanization is also gradually advancing.Almost cities are expanding their space and improving their services now.Urban infrastructure is the most basic part in urban construction,which provides the material basis.In recent years,investment on infrastructure construction is also gradually increasing in China.In the process of further improving infrastructure,infrastructure construction is of great significance to enhance the city's carrying capacity.However,in the face of the booming urban infrastructure construction,improving efficiency is more important than promoting the construction process.This paper combines the external effects of urban infrastructure construction on urban economic growth,social development and ecological environment.This paper integrates the input and output indicators of urban infrastructure in the three aspects of the input of manpower,material and financial resources--the construction of infrastructure--the role of economic and social development,and analyses 67 large and medium-sized cities in China through the two-stage network DEA method.The efficiency analysis includes comprehensive efficiency,technical efficiency and scale efficiency of each stage.And then the efficiency is analyzed by region and cluster analysis.The dynamic analysis is carried out according to Malmquist index model.The results show that in recent years,the efficiency of urban infrastructure construction in our country is on a low level as a whole.There are few cities with effective input and output on infrastructure construction and the efficiency in different stage or different region is not coordinated.It is necessary to optimize the structure of input and output,improve the way of technology management and coordinate the improvement of infrastructure construction efficiency.
