Bryophyte Resources From The Forests Of Kanghe Nature Reserve And Their Potential For Use In Landscaping

Bryophytes are small green plants,considered to be one of the simplest and most primitive plant groups,grown in large patches of grass,and play an important role in conserving water,maintaining soil,absorbing and storing nutrients,and so on.Bryophytes have high landscape effect and ornamental value,and have broad prospects in garden application.In this study,the bryophytes resources in Kanghe Provincial Nature Reserve in Guangdong Province were studied.The bryophytes resources were analyzed by Community analysis method,and the potential of garden utilization of bryophytes was explored.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)A total of 23 species of bryophytes were recorded in this survey,belonging to 13 families and 19 genera respectively.Kurzia gonyotricha,Pseudotaxiphyllum pohliaecarpum,Fissidens laxus,Chiloscyphus latifolius and Sematophyllum subpinnatum are the dominant species in bryophytes community,occupying a dominant position in the community,and have strong competitive ability to resources and space.(2)The growth types of bryophytes mainly include tall turfs,short turfs,wefts,mats,and tails.The species of wefts bryophytes are the most,accounting for 43.5% of the total species.(3)The bryophytes in this survey are mainly tropical Asian distribution,northern temperate distribution and Chinese-Japanese components,reflecting the particularity and complexity of the bryophytes flora in the region.(4)There are differences between the total cover,maximum cover,Shannon-Wiener diversity index,Simpson index and evenness of bryophytes among the sample units,indicating that bryophytes distributed patchy in the sample,and heterogeneous habitats provide a variety of habitat conditions for bryophytes,which provides suitable conditions for the growth of bryophytes.(5)The bryophytes community was divideed into 4 community types using two-way cluster analysis method.There are significant differences in the number of species in different bryophytes communities,and the analysis of multi-response permutation procedures also showed that there are significant differences in the composition of bryophytes between different community types.(6)The bryophytes have strong ecological characteristics,with high ornamental value,and play an important role in ecological environment greening.It can be used for garden landscaping,combined with order stone and plants to form a landscape effect.It can be used in vertical greening,made into bryophytes wall to beautify indoor environment.Inaddition,it can be used in bonsai and ecological bottles,not only played a role in baking,embellishment the landscape effect,but also played a role in conservating the surrounding plants.
