Abstract/Summary:
Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) has become one of the most important sectors of technology now a day. Sensors are convenient in size and cost to be deployed and perform significant role in a network to pull information from areas where the access is not regular or almost impossible. To get the finest benefit of the wireless sensor network routing protocols are there in practical use as well as many are being developed. Directed Diffusion (DD) and Secure Aggregation Tree (SAT) are two tree-based routing protocols offering simple data propagation procedure but focusing on two different issue- DD on data and SAT on security. DD algorithm is about how the data would be processed. When the data propagation platform is DD based, there should be consideration for security issues. So in order to provide security in DD based wireless sensor network, the research conducted here is establishing SAT based security algorithm on DD platform.;The protocol developed in this research enhances DD by proving security in every steps of basic directed diffusion mechanism. The outcome is a favorable solution to utilize DD to its best that gives a secured routing protocol. The result is explained and demonstrated in a practical way and effort is made to exhibit its utility to attest its impact in the advancement of wireless sensor network technology for the use of present and future.
