This study examines the differences in the ethical behavior and the attitude toward ethical behavior between Hawaii and Norwegian journalists. The study explores and reviews literature and secondary information on the topic of behavioral theory, communitarianism, codes of ethics, ethics in mass media, studies done on ethics and ethical theory. Through a descriptive survey designed for Norwegian and Hawaii journalists, the attitudes in regards to ethical situations were unfolded through analysis. The findings in this paper reveal that a code of ethics affects the behavior of a journalist and ensures a more ethically positive attitude among the participants of the profession. |
