In recent years,the catering industry has developed rapidly in China,all kinds of catering chain restaurants open all over the streets and alleys.The speedy of the food and beverage industry has led to a great demand for talents,especially needed a large number store managers which have rich experience in front-line operation and restaurant management ability.The quality of store managers within the company is uneven,and the reserve is insufficient,while the supply of such talents in the market is very few.Therefore,the shortage of excellent store managers has become an important problem faced by many small and medium-sized restaurant chain enterprises.To solve this problem,enterprises should change their thinking and focus on training and developing existing personnel under the difficult situation of seeking talents from outside.Only by training the existing personnel into the talents needed by the development of the enterprise,can the role of the existing human resources be brought into full play,so that the enterprise is less or even less affected by the fierce competition for talents.Therefore,the training of human resources has become the key for catering chain enterprises to have enough excellent store managers.However,human resource training is a complex activity,it needs a set of perfect system to do the work before,during and after the training,so that human resource training can achieve good results,so as to solve the problem of the shortage of excellent store managers in catering chain enterprises.In this paper,A restaurant chain company as the research object,the existing staff managers training status quo and existing problems of analysis,and through behavioral event interview method(BEI),to find A restaurant chain company competence characteristics of store managers,in building a store managers competency model on the basis of the construction of training system for research.This article is divided into seven chapters.The first chapter discusses the background,purpose and research significance of the topic,and puts forward the theoretical and practical significance of the research.The second chapter introduces the relevant theoretical concepts,including theories related to competency and competency models,construction method ofcompetency model,theories about human resources training and training system and construction of training system;the third chapter is an overview of the basic situation of A catering chain company and the current situation of store managers training;Chapter four analyzes the problem and causes of store managers training;Chapter five introduces the necessity of building a store managers training system based on competency model,the construction of competency model of the store managers by using the behavior event interview method(BEI),and how company A tests the competency model.Chapter six analyzes the training needs analysis of store managers,training plan formulation,training plan implementation and training effect evaluation,builds a catering chain company's store managers training system based on competency model,and puts forward the guarantee measures for the implementation of the training system.Chapter seven draws the conclusion of the study and points out the direction of future improvement.
