As a prominent feature of economic activities, industrial agglomeration has long been the focus of academic circles.Since the new economic geography represented by Krugman has pioneered the incremental returns and the “iceberg cost” into the basic analytical framework, the research on industrial agglomeration has yielded fruitful results.China is currently in the new normal of the economy, the economic structure is continuously optimized, and the contribution rate of the service industry to economic growth is rising, especially the rapid growth of the producer service industry is attracting attention. Most of the existing researches on the producer service industry follow the research framework of the new economic geography on manufacturing agglomeration, but the producer service industry has some characteristics different from the manufacturing industry, and should also consider the influence of other factors on the agglomeration. This paper mainly studies the impact of social capital on the agglomeration of productive services from the perspective of economic sociology. In the theoretical research, this paper discusses the connotation of social capital from the perspective of economic sociology, and analyzes the path of social capital affecting the accumulation of productive service industry from three aspects: social credit, social network and social norms.Social credit is conducive to alleviating information asymmetry, social networks are conducive to giving full play to the role of the external economy, and social norms can make up for imperfect systems. In the empirical research, this paper uses the spatial Gini coefficient, location entropy and other indicators to measure the changes and characteristics of China's productive service industry agglomeration. The calculation of the Moran index shows that the location entropy has significant spatial dependence. On this basis, the data of 253 cities above the prefecture level were used to analyze the impact of social capital on the agglomeration of productive services. In this paper, the comparison and selection of spatial weight matrix are carried out cautiously, and the spatial measurement model is selected according to the general choice to the general and the special to the general model selection ideas to solve the spatial autocorrelation problem and the theory is tested more accurately.According to the results of the spatial Dubin model, the decomposition of the effect was carried out by LeSage(2009),and the estimated values of direct effects and spillover effects were obtained, which further improved the theoretical analysis. This paper draws the following conclusions: 1.The agglomeration of producer services in prefecture-level cities in China is generally on the rise.2.Social capital has a significant role in promoting the overall agglomeration of the productive services industry.3.Social capital has different effects on the aggregation of industries in the production service industry.Of course, limited to the author's own academic foundation, this paper still has many shortcomings. The conclusion of this paper summarizes this and puts forward the direction that can be further optimized.
