Mesrurement And Mechanism Research On Producer Services Agglomeration In China

At the present stage, the new normal behavior of China’s economic emerges: the economic grows slowly but still remains middle-high speed, and industrial restructuring and upgrading has become an important theme of economic development, which makes the status of producer services in regional development improves continuously. Also devolvement of inner-industry association promotes the formation of producer services agglomeration in space. On the other hand, producer services agglomeration can promote industrial restructuring and enhance the quality of economic growth. Interaction mechanism exists between economic growth and producer services agglomeration. This paper aims to establish some kind of econometric model to analysis this issue.Interaction mechanism between producer services agglomeration and regional economic growth is firstly analyzed in this paper on the basis of the theory of economic growth, industrial agglomeration theory and existing research results, which can find theoretical support for model establishment. Producer services agglomeration mechanism refers to the formation of the reasons and the internal mechanism for producer services cluster in space. Industry itself agglomeration economics and economic growth spillover effects are the causes of producer services agglomeration. Then this paper calculates the spatial Gini coefficient and location entropy which measure the producer services agglomeration and analyzes the Moran index which measure spatial correlation, certain degree of producer services agglomeration has been found which provide a guideline for quoting spatial econometric model. Finally, this paper applies modified spatial Durbin simultaneous equations model to empirical analyze the spillovers of producer services agglomeration in China region and economic growth in detailed.The empirical results produced by spatial Durbin simultaneous equations model show that producer services agglomeration and regional economic growth has notable spillover effects, which means producer services agglomeration has significant positive promote on regional economic growth, and in turn regional economic growth also has significant positive promote on producer services agglomeration. Mutual influence and reinforcing of producer services agglomeration and regional economic growth has notable positive impact, which means producer services agglomeration has significant positive promote on economic growth, and in turn economic growth also has significant positive promote on producer services agglomeration, while economic growth has stronger intensity than producer services agglomeration. Economic growth and productive service industry are gathering in space, Moran’s I index shows the degree of concentration of economic growth in the space is larger than the degree of concentration of producer services, both generate significant positive spillover effect on neighboring areas, which means the region significantly promotes economic growth in the region adjacent, and also producer services agglomeration in the region significantly promote productive service industry neighboring regions, while producer services agglomeration has stronger intensity than economic growth.In the perspective of three regions, economic growth and producer services agglomeration in the region showed some differences. Producer services agglomeration’s significantly positive effect on economic growth weaken followed by the three regions eastern central and west, while economic growth fully significantly promote on producer services agglomeration, the extent of the impact in east and west region is greater, but the central region is smaller. Economic growth and producer services agglomeration in eastern central and west also have different spatial spillovers, significance level is not high in eastern and western regions, while in the central region is more significant, adjacent area of economic growth’s spatial spillovers on the region weaken followed by the three regions eastern central and west, economic growth agglomeration comparatively appears in East Midlands. There are certain space overflows in producer services agglomeration, eastern region has a significant and larger positive spillovers on adjacent, while the space overflow of producer services agglomeration in Midwest lands is not obvious. Producer services agglomeration and regional economic growth also has notable spillover effects in three regions, and its spillover effects weaken followed by the three regions eastern central and west.
