Research On The Geconomic Cooporation Of China-asean Base On The Collective Action Theory

Western developed countries,represented by the United States,begin to implement the reindustrialization policy and trade protectionism policy after2008 international economic crisis,while China's One Belt and One Road initiative shows its determination to go global,making international geo-economic cooperation pattern face significant changes.Based on the above-mentioned background,the paper introduced Collective Action Theory that is one of parts of New Institutional Economics,as well as combined the existing geo-economic theory and development economics theory to construct an analysis framework of geo-economic cooperation among nations based on collective action theory.It also researched and analyzed China-ASEAN geo-economic cooperation to propose the corresponding solutions that improve the cooperation level.Theoretically,the paper adopted the basic logic of Collective Action Theory,and combined theories such as Geo-economic Theory,New Structural Economics Theory and Game Theory to build a framework which analyzes the geo-economic cooperation among countries.It proposed to understand the connotation of geo-economic cooperation from the perspective of the deep international economic cooperation.Moreover,it described the influence of different cooperation institutions in countries with various scales such as big country – big country,big country – small country and small country – small country on geo-economic cooperation.It researched the incentive systems of different countries,analyzed the positive and negative factors which affect the geo-economic cooperation,and initially discussed the required evolution order.For the empirical aspect,the paper made an investigation into the current situation of China-ASEAN geo-economic cooperation,aiming to find issues.For example,cooperation institutions are unbalanced,the cooperation isn't deep enough,organizations do not fully play role,and infrastructure construction needs to be improved.It analyzed the of causes above and discussed the positive and negative factors of China-ASEAN geo-economic cooperation.Finally,it proposed six goals and five solutions based on relevant theories and the current situations.Six goals include the improvement of cooperation performance,the establishment and enhancement of mutual trust level,the coordination of development goals,the construction of institutional mechanisms which guarantee cooperation,the reduction of the transaction costs of cooperation and the promotion of balanced cooperation.For five solutions,intensify China-ASEAN Development Interest Coordination Mechanism,enhance mechanisms related to China-ASEAN Goods Trade,deepen One Belt and One Road cooperation,enhance China-ASEAN Monetary and Financial Cooperation,as well as build and share cross-border economic cooperation logistics infrastructure.
