Research On The Evolution Mechanism Of Platform-based Business Ecosystem

With the rapid development of the Internet and the deepening of global integration cooperation,the traditional business model should lag far behind the development of modern economy,more and more industries and platform models merge,and catch the fast train of platform economy.This change of market environment leads to the gradual upgrading of competition among enterprises to competition between platform business ecosystems with platform enterprises as the core.Therefore,from the perspective of enterprise,and platform model integration,transformation into a platform enterprise is not the final answer.It is more important to seek to build a platform-based business ecosystem suitable for its own development,lead the evolution of the whole platform business ecosystem.Therefore,how the platform business ecosystem evolves,and what factors can better drive the platform business ecosystem to evolve into the major enterprises to think about.In this paper,the theory of platform,bilateral market and platform business ecosystem is first combed to define the concept and characteristics of platform business ecosystem and lay a theoretical foundation for the following research on the evolution mechanism of platform business ecosystem.Define the members of the platform’s commercial ecosystem and analyze the internal and external relations of the system.From the perspective of self-organization,analyze the evolution conditions,evolution inducement and evolution path of the platform’s commercial ecosystem,analyze the evolution stage of the platform’s commercial ecosystem and predict the evolution trend through Logistic model.Based on the above analysis and literature research,this paper analyzes the evolution power of platform business ecosystem from platform enterprises,transaction members and external environment,and discusses its influence on system evolution.Six evolutionary dynamics are extracted:governance behavior to ensure the healthy growth of the platform,innovative activities to enhance the competitiveness of the platform,technology driven by supply-side members,demand driven by demand-side members,government policy support and industry positive competition.It is assumed that the six factors not onlydrive the evolution of the platform’s commercial ecosystem,but also influence the dynamic factors.Then we introduce quantitative analysis and use SPSS and AMOS software to test hypotheses empirically,verify hypotheses and draw conclusions.The six factors not only drive the platform business ecosystem evolution separately,but also interact with each other.Among them,the innovation activities of platform enterprises have the most significant impact,and in platform enterprises,transaction members and external environment,platform enterprises have the most significant impact.Finally,according to the empirical conclusions,the paper puts forward some suggestions on the evolution and development of platform business ecosystem from three angles: platform enterprise,transaction member and macro policy.
