An Evolutionary Game Study On The Governance Of Platform Ecosystems Under Network Effects

There are already companies such as Xiaomi and Haier who are continuously developing platform ecosystems.As pioneers in platform ecosystem governance,they provide practical experience for the current research on platform ecosystem governance.The development of platform ecosystems is inseparable from the network effect,and governance is the key to whether they can make full use of the network effect,and whether the governance of the platform ecosystem is effective is mainly reflected in the value created by the participants in the platform.Firstly,it analyses the impact of the network effect on the platform ecosystem through reading domestic and international literature and reviewing relevant theories and then discusses the impact of the network effect on the three participants within the platform and the analysis of the possible behaviors of the three participants respectively.Secondly,since the effectiveness of governance will be manifested when the platform creates value,the impact of the network effect on the platform ecosystem is analysed to analyse the possible scenarios of value co-creation activities by the three participants in the platform ecosystem at this time,and thus to gain an understanding of the possible behaviors of the participants;further,by analysing the behavioral strategies of the participants in the process of value creation and the reasons for their strategic choices Further,by analysing the behavioral strategies of the participants in the process of value creation and the reasons for their strategic choices,an evolutionary game model is constructed for the governance of platform enterprises,complementary enterprises and users in the platform ecosystem under the network effect,and the equilibrium points and stability of the three-party evolutionary game model are analysed by solving the replication dynamic equation and Jacobian matrix.Finally,a system dynamics model is constructed for the evolutionary game model of the governance of the platform ecosystem under the network effect,and Vensim PLE software is used to simulate the initial behavioral strategies and evolutionary stability trends of the three parties,as well as the impact of key factors such as value gain,cost of adopting a positive behavior,speculative gain,loss and subsidy reward on the behavior of the three parties under the network effect.Based on the results,we discuss the behavioral strategy choices of each participant and propose corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for the governance of the platform ecosystem,thus providing a reference for the governance of the platform ecosystem from the perspective of network effects.
