Innovative behavior has always been the focus of discussion in the academy and practice,because it is of great significance to the development and survival of organizations.Since employees are the thinkers and executors of enterprise innovation,there is a long-lasting topic that how to attract innovative talents to join the organization,how to motivate employees' innovation enthusiasm by cultivating the innovation ability of employees,and promote the emergence of employee innovation behavior.In addition,errors are an inevitable part of the process of innovative behavior,because any innovative behavior means taking action in a new and uncertain environment.Errors do not always lead to negative outcomes,depending on the individual's attitude toward the error,namely the error orientation.Error communication,as one of the important and positive dimensions of error orientation,means that individuals to communicate with others about errors and help each other in an error situation,which will have an impact on employee innovation behavior.It is very meaningful to use errors as an entry point to explore employee innovation behavior.Based on social information processing theory,this study believes that leadership style and team atmosphere will be an important factor affecting employee innovation behavior.Servant Leadership cares and serves their subordinates,which can meet the changes in China's current and future employee management requirements.On the other hand,workplace is full of emotions,and understanding workplace emotional climate plays a key role in understanding and predicting team and individual work behavior.Based on this,this study proposes a moderated mediation model.Firstly,this study explore how public servant leaders can stimulate the emergence of employee innovation behavior.Secondly,employee error communication is used as a mediator between servant leadership and employee innovation behavior.Then,we discussed whether different workplace emotional climates affect servant leadership to promote employee innovation behavior by promoting employee error communication.This study used first-hand data,issuing questionnaires to employees.In order to reduce the potential common method bias,we collected the data of the core variables in the study at two time points.At the first-stage,respondents completed the questionnaire of servant leadership and workplace emotional climate.The second data collection was conducted after four weeks.At the second-stage,respondents completed the questionnaire of error communication and employee innovative behavior.We deleted the questionnaires that could not be matched and filling in the less serious(all options are consistent),and 244 valid questionnaires were finally obtained.By using the statistical software SPSS25.0 and Amos 23.0,the empirical results show that employee error communication plays a mediating role between servant leadership and employee innovation behavior.The workplace emotional climate can enforce the positive relationship between servant leadership and employee innovation behavior by influencing the error communication,when the positive workplace emotional climate is strong.When workplace emotional climate is negative,the positive relationship between servant leadership and employee innovation behavior by influencing the error communication is weaker than positive one.This study may make the following theoretical contributed:firstly,it enriches the mechanism between servant leadership and employee innovation behavior.Secondly,we discover that different workplace emotional climates cause different effects on the positive relationship between servant leadership and employee innovation behavior by influencing the error communication.Those result provides a reference and basis for farther research.In addition,this study explores the impact of workplace emotional climate,enriching the emotional research at the team level.The following implications are given to the actual management:first of all,organizations should pay attention to the cultivation of servant leaders,because servant leadership may be the key to further improve organizational performance and motivate employees.Second,we must help the organization members to establish the positive error orientation then to stimulate employees' innovative behavior.Finally,the managers and individuals in the organization should have a deep understanding of the important role of the workplace emotional climate.Last but not least,there are still some shortcomings in this research,and the future research direction is proposed at the end of the research.
