| High technology industries have high value-added,industrial relevance characteristics.It has been supported by the national or regional government as a pillar industry,in order to increase the regional economic development.It is the core of technology and economic competitive performance factors.The rapid development of high-tech industry makes the economy achieve high efficiency and steady development.Nowadays,industrial agglomeration is an important means of production organization to deepen the development of industry.Its spatial externality,economies of scale and other characteristics are the competitive advantages of cultivating and developing countries and regions.Therefore,the development of high-tech industrial agglomeration can better promote regional economic development.In the context of the development of high-tech industrial parks in China,how does the cluster development of high-tech industries impact on regional economic development? This question will be studied from two aspects: theory and demonstration in this paper.Undoubtedly,it has important theoretical and practical significance for the transformation of economic development mode and development momentum.Based on the literature review,this paper puts forward the mechanism of high technology industry agglomeration on regional economic development and puts forward the hypothesis of research.Then,the degree of industrial agglomeration of high technology industries in Hubei province is calculated from multiple angles,and the variation coefficient of latitude and longitude is chosen to represent the degree of industrial agglomeration.Finally,this paper makes an empirical analysis of the panel data from 2012 to 2016 in 16 cities of Hubei province by econometric model and STATA software.This study mainly analyzes the influence of high technology industry agglomeration and regional economic development on the three dimensions of speed,yield and efficiency.And the author proposes relevant policy suggestions,based on this.In this paper,a new and effective method for calculating industrial agglomeration is developed and applied.This index is based on the longitude and latitude variation coefficient of the sample enterprise,and effectively reflects the distance and density of enterprises in the agglomeration area.It has overcome the limitations of the past method of calculating industrial agglomeration with only the number of enterprises,the number of employees and the amount of output.In addition,in the empirical research on the impact on high-tech industry cluster development and regional economic development,this paper breaks through the past research perspective,which only considers the regional economic growth.In this paper,the economic effect of high technology industry agglomeration is measured from the quantity of economic development,development potential and development efficiency.It is more in line with the development concept of the new era.Three main conclusions are drawn:(1)the concentration of high-tech industry has a positive effect on regional economic development.In recent years,the trend of high technology industry concentration in various cities of Hubei province is obvious,which leads to the development of regional economy.(2)There are three inverted "U" curve relationship between the degree of high-tech industrial agglomeration and the three dimensions of regional economic development.Too high or too low agglomeration is unfavorable to regional economic development.Local governments should formulate different industrial policies according to the different development status of different regions.The author suggests that the areas of excessive high-tech industry agglomeration should expand the agglomeration area and strengthen the technology diffusion and industrial transfer.On the contrary,the lack of high-tech industrial agglomeration can further promote the development of industrial agglomeration,and give full play to the positive driving effect of high-tech industries on regional economic development. |
