Nowadays,as the market competition continues to intensify,employees who ar e valuable resources of enterprises are increasingly receiving attention from all SME s.In the high-intensity work rhythm,how to balance the family and career is directly r elated to the individual's physical and mental health and the further development of th e company.Therefore,in order to coordinate the good development of Chinese enterp rises and employees,it is necessary to pay attention to the work-family balance of th e employees.Most studies have focused only on the outcome variables of work-famil y balance,and less on the antecedent variables.Research at home and abroad show th at leader-member exchange(LMX)is significantly positively correlated with work-fa mily balance.At the same time,the study also found that LMX affects job stress,and j ob stress affects work-family balance.In order to explore the mechanism by which th e LMX influence on the work-family balance of employees.Based on the theory of re source conservation,this study uses horizontal and longitudinal study to conduct empi rical research on employees.The study mainly consists of two parts.The study 1 is a horizontal study.It exam ines the static relationship between the LMX,the job stress and the work-family balan ce.That is,whether the intermediary model of employees' job stress between LMX an d work-family balance is established.Using LMX-7 scale,job stress scale and work-f amily balance scale,the three SME employees in Guizhou Province were investigate d by convenient sampling method.A total of 900 questionnaires were distributed an d 723 valid questionnaires were collected.Study 2 is a longitudinal study to dynamica lly verify that the employees' job stress is still valid in the mediation between LMX an d work-family balance.Using the same scale as Study 1,the employees of a certain en terprise in Guizhou Province were selected as the research objects for longitudinal inv estigation.The study lasted about 9 months and a total of 3 tests were conducted.Th e first of these was issued at a meeting at the beginning of the first quarter of 2018,an d 247 questionnaires were collected.The subsequent two tests were performed once e very 3 months.The results of Study 1 show that:(1)there was a significant negative correlatio n between LMX of employees and job stress,job stress and work-family balance(r =-0.33,p < 0.01;r=-0.23,p < 0.01);(2)the LMX was significantly positively correlated with the work-family balance(r = 0.32,p < 0.01);(3)the effect analysis found that th e LMX of employees can not only directly predict work-family balance(c' = 0.24,S E = 0.03,p < 0.001),but also indirectly predict work-family balance through job stress(ab = 0.03,SE = 0.01,p < 0.001).Study 2 analyzes the data by cross-lagged.It is sho w that:(1)the LMX at T1 time can significantly negatively predict the job stress at T2 time(? =-0.14,SE = 0.06,p < 0.05);the LMX at T2 time can significantly negativel y predict the job stress at T3 time(? =-0.14,SE = 0.06,p < 0.05);the job stress at the T1 time point can not significantly predict the LMX at the T2 time;and the job stress a t the T2 time can significantly negatively predict the LMX at the T3 time(? =-0.24,S E = 0.06,p < 0.001);(2)the job stress at the T1 time can significantly negatively predi ct the work-family balance at the T2 time(? =-0.13,SE = 0.06,p < 0.05);the job stres s at the T2 time can significantly negatively predict the work-family balance at the T3 time(? =-0.14,SE = 0.05,p < 0.01);the work-family balance at the T1 time can not s ignificantly predict the job stress at the T2 time;the work-family balance at the T2 ca n not significantly predict the job stress at the T3 time;(3)the LMX at the T1 time ca n significantly positively predict the work-family balance at the T2 time(? = 0.16,S E = 0.06,p < 0.01);the LMX at the T2 time can significantly positively predict the wo rk-family balance at the T3 time(? = 0.11,SE = 0.05,p < 0.05);the work-family balanc e at the T1 time can not significantly predict the LMX at the T2 time;the work-famil y balance at the T2 time can significantly positively predict the LMX at the T3 time(? = 0.21,SE = 0.06,p < 0.001).Through the results of the horizontal study and the longitudinal study,it can be s how that the job stress plays a partial intermediary role between the LMX and the wor k-family balance,that is,the better the LMX relationship,the smaller the job stress o f the employees,and the higher the work-family balance level.
