| A reasonable and effective Performance Appraisal System is the key link for an enterprise to achieve the goal of performance management.It can motivate employees to work hard in an all-round way and evaluate the performance of individuals and departments more scientifically and comprehensively,which is helpful for enterprises to set long-term development goals and realize sustainable development.As an important performance appraisal tool,Balanced Scorecard has been used widely in recent years.There are more and more successful cases to help enterprises improve their performance appraisal level.The typical cases are Haier Group,China Resources,Sharp Group,etc.There are many articles researching on BSC from one aspect or one process in academic circles,but less researches on the design and application of the whole appraisal system.And large enterprises are the majority of the research object,while less researches on small and medium-sized enterprises,especially the research on small and medium-sized enterprises manufacturing cables.This paper will have a research on these shortcomings in order to supplement the existing research materials and provide a reference model for the application of Balanced Scorecard in small and medium-sized enterprises.The research methods used in this paper are literature research,case study,field interviews and questionnaire.By collecting a large number of literatures,the existing theories and methods are sorted out.The Balanced Scorecard is introduced into People’s Cable Group to analyze the application of the Balanced Scorecard in enterprises as a case study.Through interviewing business managers,employees,experts in related fields,and knowing general situation of enterprises and current situation of performance appraisal,the writer investigated the problems existing in enterprise performance appraisal,the relative importance of appraisal indicators and staffs’ satisfaction with performance appraisal system by the questionnaire.This paper has five chapters.In the chapter one,on the basis of explaining the importance of current performance appraisal,this paper summarizes the research status of balance scorecard theory and application research,introduces the purpose and significance of the full text research,introduces the research content and technical route,and points out the innovation and shortcomings of the paper.In the chapter two,the related theories and concep are summarized,and the related theories of Performance,Performance Appraisal and Balanced Scorecard are elaborated.The chapter three introduces the current situation and existing problems of Performance Appraisal of People’s Cable Group mainly about the research object and the problems in the Performance Appraisal.The chapter four is about the design and application of the Performance Appraisal System,Balanced Scorecard,in the People’s Cable Group and evaluates the effect of implementation.The chapter five summarizes the research and gives some suggestions.Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn:First,it is very important for small and medium-sized enterprises to establish a long-term and stable Performance Appraisal System.Secondly,small and medium-sized enterprises can adjust and improve the Balanced Scorecard according to actual conditions.Finally,some suggestions are given:enterprises should establish a perfect Performance Appraisal Information System and a Multi-dimensional Appraisal System,integrate the Performance Appraisal into enterprises’ strategic objectives,and build a communication platform for Performance Appraisal. |
