At present, with the rapid development of economic globalization, enterprises are facing increasingly intense competition, human resources management plays a more and more important role in business management, because the competition among enterprises finally is the talent competition, those who obtain the advantages of talent will likely take an invincible position in the fierce competition. As the key link in human resources management system, Performance management attracts more and more attention by the company managers, and it has become priority of human resource management currently.It has a very important role in the promotion of enterprise development and improvement performance to design an effective enterprise performance appraisal system, and in the process of design a performance appraisal system, setting the evaluation index often becomes the key. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) approaches have been used more and more in practice. KPI approach has two significant features: First, it requires to link company's organizational development strategies with performance indicators; Secondly, KPI pay special attention on the problems which need to focus on a specific period of time and to solve. In practice, It involves a very important question inevitably, that is how to combine these two requirements with the company's development status, and then designed to meet the specific conditions of the company's KPI reasonably and effectively. I had the honor to participate in the work practice of a consulting firm:To establishment of a new performance appraisal system for a financial company, this paper aims to explore the KPI's use in financial company performance appraisal and how to build the KPI based on four dimensions in the Balanced Scorecard Performance Evaluation Index System. This paper, first expounded on the basic theory of performance assessment and knowledge; then analysis the current situation of performance evaluation system, identify the existed problems and design a solution for the problems; Finally, give evaluation and feedback to the feasibility designed system.
