Abstract/Summary:
The transportation industry has always been a basic,advanced and strategic industry in the social economy.The "13th Five-Year Plan" Modern Integrated Transportation System Development Plan issued by the State Council of China in 2017 puts forward the development of China’s future transportation industry.High requirements:"The’Thirteenth Five-Year’ period is the stage of building a well-off society in an all-round way,economic development has entered a new normal,and transportation needs to adapt to the new era of social and economic development." This marks the coordinated development of transportation and economy.Step into a new phase.The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Delta region,as two important growth poles in China’s north and south,have been identified as the pioneering regions for national-level regional coordinated development strategies.Studying the coordinated development of transportation and economy in these two regions will not only help analyze the current China.The coupling relationship between transportation and economy in a typical area,recognize whether the current level of traffic development meets the requirements of the new era of regional economic development,and also help to sort out the useful experience of coordinated transportation and regional economic development through comparative analysis.The boosting effect of transportation on the regional economy has certain reference significance for the government to issue relevant policy planning and regional development practice,and at the same time provide some reference for future scholars’research.Based on comparative analysis,the paper studies the coupling relationship between transportation and regional economy in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Delta region,focusing on the following two issues.First,the basic situation of transportation and economic development in the two regions;Second,the comparative analysis of the degree of coupling and coordination between transportation in the two regions and the regional economy.Based on the above problems,this paper builds a transportation-regional economic coupling model by reviewing the interaction mechanism between transportation and regional economy and the concept of coupling.Taking the two typical areas of "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei" and "Yangtze River Delta" as the research object,according to the panel data of "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei" and "Yangtze River Delta" and its sub-regions for 2009-2017 and the forecast data of 2020,the entropy value is adopted.The method constructs a comprehensive evaluation index system for transportation and regional economy,which is used to calculate the development level of the coupling subsystem,and then calculates the coupling coordination degree of the two through the coupling model.The coefficient of variation is used to verify the balanced development of the regional economy of "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei" and "Yangtze River Delta".The results show that:(1)In recent years,the coupling degree of each of the two regions has been low,but they all show a good trend of steady increase.In 2017,the coordination degree of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and Yangtze River Delta was 0.28 and 0.33 respectively,and it is expected to increase to 0.29 and 0.37 by 2020,which are moderate and minor imbalance stages respectively.(2)The degree of coupling coordination between the sub-regions of the two major regions is significant.In addition to Hebei,the relatively backward development of transportation is still one of the main factors limiting the economic development of each sub-region.(3)In recent years,the regional coordination degree of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has been lower than that in the Yangtze River Delta region,and the backwardness has expanded,resulting in the regional economic development speed and the balanced development of the regional economy have been lower than the Yangtze River Delta region.The reason why the coupling coordination degree has been low is the excessive advance development of Hebei transportation.(4)Although the development of transportation can significantly bring positive effects to the regional economy,it can also promote the balanced development of the economy within the region,but its development level should also be compatible with the development level of the regional economy,and should not be excessively advanced.
