Financial Analysis Of Jiangsu Provincial Agricultural Reclamation And Development Based On The Harvard Analysis Framework

Food has always played the main role in people's lives,and agriculture has been the pivotal pillar in a country's economy and welfare of its people.Nowadays agricultural enterprises are key to developing the agricultural industry and improving agricultural incomes.In this article,I use Jiangsu Provincial Agricultural Reclamation and Development Co.,Ltd(SKIAD)as a research object,Harvard analysis framework as the analytical frame,annual financial reports from 2014 to 2016 of SKIAD as a base,to analyze and evaluate this enterprise's financial status and operational outcome in terms of strategy,accounts,finances and prospective,and point out issues that exist in the operation and development of the enterprise.In the strategic analysis,the “Five Forces Model” and the SWOT analysis method were used to conduct macro and micro analysis on SKIAD and evaluate the expansion strategy adopted by SKIAD.In the accounting analysis,the analysis of the asset quality and profit quality of SKIAD lays the foundation for the next financial analysis.In the financial analysis,based on the data of SKIAD's financial statements of 2014-2016,six companies were introduced as comparative companies for comparative analysis.In the foreground analysis,the industry prospects and competition prospects of SKIAD were analyzed.The Z-score model was used in the analysis to quantitatively analyze the future business risk of SKIAD.On the basis of the analysis,this article sums up the problems existing in the management process of SKIAD,put forward suggestions for improvement,provides reference for the business operators to make management decisions,and hope to inspire the development of agricultural enterprises.After strategic analysis,SKIAD has obvious competitive advantages in the industry under its vertical integration strategy and the full industrial chain strategic model.After financial analysis,SKIAD have strong profitability,the major products of seeds and rice contributed significantly to the profit,and the annual growth of operating income was stable,and has good solvency and cash flow.After foreground analysis,new seed product development of SKIAD is at top of the industry.At the same time,the problems in the management of SKIAD include the dependence on the contiguous farmland in the profit strategy and the market risk of the existing profitable products.In the investment strategy,at this stage,the investment funds are mainly concentrated in the infrastructure construction,and there is a great difference in the vision to be achieved with the proposed strategy.In terms of the use of fund-raising,the efficiency and benefits of fund-raising are low.Therefore,in the future development of SKIAD,In terms of strategy,broadening farmland resources,improve human resources management,and promote the refinement of production management should be considered.At the same time,to improve the book value assessment methods for inventory and consumable biological assets,increase the profitability of existing products,develop new business types,conduct seed development research and strengthen market development strategies.In this way,SKIAD can achieve sustainable development in the increasingly fierce competition among agricultural enterprises.Other companies in the industry can refer to this suggestion.
