Research On Financial Analysis Of W Company Based On Harvard Analysis Framework

The iron and steel industry is one of the most important heavy industries in my country,and it is the foundation of many industries.The development of the iron and steel industry is directly related to the defense industry,infrastructure,various machinery,ships,automobiles,bridges and other industries.Due to the improvement of people’s living standards,the requirements for iron and steel are getting higher and higher.After a series of reforms and mergers,iron and steel enterprises will face many problems in the future development.In particular,the development of the new crown epidemic in 2019 has been hindered,and my country has announced that "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality" will be incorporated into the overall layout of ecological civilization,which is a huge challenge for the future development prospects of iron and steel enterprises.W Company is one of the largest steel companies in the world.In February 2017,W Company’s main manufacturing bases were located in Baoshan in Shanghai,Qingshan in Wuhan,Dongshan in Zhanjiang,and Meishan in Nanjing.Therefore,this article takes W Group as the research object to analyze its financial situation in the years before and after the epidemic.This method is chosen for financial analysis because the Harvard analysis framework is a comprehensive financial analysis method introduced into China from the United States.The difference between it and other financial analysis methods is that it pays more attention to the analysis of strategy and market environment.It is based on the corporate environment.The research results are combined with the indicators of financial data to carry out overall research,and forecast the prospects and financial risks of enterprises.The development of the steel industry is very dependent on national policies and changes in the general environment,so the financial analysis framework based on strategic analysis is very suitable for the steel industry.Firstly,this paper explains the research background and significance,and also clarifies the views and applications of this theory by domestic and foreign scholars from different perspectives.Introduce the research content and research angle of this paper.Secondly,it introduces the content and logical relationship of the relevant theories in detail,and makes a comparative analysis with the previous basic research theories.This article introduces the general situation of W Group,and also lists the operating data of W Group in the past three years for comparative analysis.After that,the thesis uses the Harvard analysis framework to conduct an overall research and analysis on the financial status of W Group from four perspectives.Therefore,the paper makes a summary of the W group based on the above four perspectives and also gives corresponding suggestions.Through the financial analysis of W Group,it can also give reference and reference significance and value to the operation and management of related steel companies in the same industry.Especially in terms of operation and management,there are also many problems,the ability to respond and preparations when encountering force majeure factors,the ability to restore operations after the crisis,and other related financial management issues.
