Current Situation Of Agricultural Technology Extension In Xinyi City And Suggestions

Agriculture is the backbone of Chinese national economy which determines the national economic development and progress.The development of agriculture has a direct impact on the overall development of the national economy.Agricultural technology plays an important role on guaranteeing for the agricultural value-added production.It is necessary that we take measures to strengthen the agricultural technology promotion system which is not only the driving force of agricultural science and technology progress in China but also the important support for developing and changing the routine of modern agricultural development.As a county-level city,Xinyi still has a long way to go on its human and financial resources,management system,institutional settings,and so on.In other words,the agricultural technology promotion work of Xinyi City is still immature which is by far cry from meeting demands of the overall requirements of agricultural modernization.Therefore,further promoting the extension of agricultural technology has great significance on promoting the modernization of agriculture in Xinyi City.In this study,the author based on the objective investigation and survey conducted on the current situation of agricultural science and technology extension in Xinyi City.Then,carried out with the classification,summary,analogy and empirical methods.Finally,fully excavated the problems that exists in the current agricultural technology extension in Xinyi City.It is summarized that agricultural technology promotion of Xinyi City mainly has the following problems:the single government promoting model exists various drawbacks and cannot meet the overall requirements of the construction of new rural areas;project funding allocates slow,backward rural transport,no test demonstration base and agricultural technology promotion agencies lack of infrastructure;the income of the grassroots farmers is obviously low when compares to the grassroots education and health system,and the salaries of agricultural technicians need to be improved;the learning opportunities of agricultural technicians are low and the local peasants are generally low in education,the extension of agricultural technology is still have a long way to go.In view of these problems,here are some practical suggestions:strengthen the organization and leadership,set up specifically responsible leading group for organizing,coordinating,supervision and guidance of agricultural technology,and take practical action to provide strong protection;increase the intensity of capital investment,pay attention to the funds of daily work,protect the construction of agricultural technology to promote infrastructure and re-rationalize the management system;carry out targeted learning and training,establish a high-quality agricultural technology promotion team and a strict employment system;improve the cultural quality of farmers,and further play a leading role in technicians,science and technology demonstration households;actively improve the working methods and enhance the functions of agricultural technology extension services;innovative agricultural technology promotion model and actively learn from the excellent experience at home and abroad,jointly build a new agricultural extension service model that adapt to modern agricultural development requirements and market economy.It is hoped that the research results of this study will play an auxiliary role in the current stage of agricultural modernization in Xinyi City.
