Abstract/Summary:
Along with the reform and development of China’s financial market and banking industry,the pattern that the state-owned commercial banks almost monopolize the whole financial market has changed.As the window and foundation of banking business,the branch is still the key to close the customer relationship and ensure the sustainable and stable profit source for commercial banks.This paper summarizes the theoretical foundation and concrete meaning of the branch transformation,and analyses the necessity and direction of branch transformation for banks branches,especially for the stated owned banks branches in the present circumstance by studying the document literature at home and abroad related the branch transformation.The paper also discusses the internal and external circumstances in the face of the Agricultural Bank of China Yanzhou branch in branch management by taking the Yanzhou sub-branch transformation as the example.By drawing the lessons from the successful experience of domestic and foreign bank branch transformation and combining the work practice,the author formulates the scheme of the branch transformation that covers the branch planning,functional positioning,channel allocation,post division,performance management,marketing service process optimization in front and back office and cultural construction of the branch service in order to explore the targeted and practical measures for the transformation of the Agricultural Bank of China Yanzhou branch.The paper aims to solve key issues which exist in the bank branches,such as,the weak marketing service capability,the weak market competitiveness,the disordered high-quality customer management,the poor value creation ability and the lack of performance appraisal system.It also summarizes the periodic branch transformation achievements to provide the support and reference for branch transformation in practicical or theoretical study.By studying and analyzing,the paper draws the following conclusions.Bank branches transformation is a complicated and systematic project,which needs the perfection and improvement in system,process and products and emphasizes the combination between the “stiff transformation” and the “soft transformation”.It needs to make overall plans and take all factors into consideration,ensure balanced and unified coordination,adhere to the coexistence between the differentiation and the standardization.It also needs to varies the function positioning and adheres to the standardized branches construction.Grasping the aspects mentioned above firmly is conductive to the successful implementation of the branches transformation for the Agricultural Bank of China.The paper introduces the related theories about branch transformation into the implementation,and combines the theories with the practice to formulate the practical programs and institutes the concrete measures.The author hopes to provide the reference for the bank branch transformation in theoretical study and implementation.
