Research On Knowledge Flow Between Disciplines Based On LDA Model

With the development of the information age,the flow of knowledge among disciplines is more and more frequent,which promotes the integration and innovation of knowledge among disciplines.There are similarities in the ways,contents and functions of communication between Library Information Science and news communication science,and there is a close flow of knowledge among disciplines.To study the knowledge flow between the two disciplines is helpful to analyze the process of knowledge flow between disciplines,reveal the content changes of knowledge flow between Library and information science and Journalism and communication science,and provide reference and guidance for promoting the research topics and discipline construction planning of the two disciplines.Combing the research status at home and abroad,it is found that although scholars have studied the application of LDA model and explored the knowledge flow among disciplines,countries and institutions,there is a lack of research on the knowledge flow between libraries and information science and Journalism and communication science by using LDA model,and the research on knowledge flow mainly focuses on the one-way flow between disciplines and the lack of research on disciplines The research on the two-way knowledge flow between subjects can reveal the common law and development trend more clearly and accurately.Based on this,the research topic of this paper is proposed.This research is based on the citation relationship between the disciplines,using the method of LDA model topic extraction,from the perspective of knowledge absorption and knowledge diffusion,to study the knowledge flow between the disciplines of Library and information science and news communication science in the decade of 2009-2018,and to explore the mutual knowledge absorption and knowledge diffusion between Library and information science and news communication science.The specific research is as follows:Firstly,the research background,research significance,research content,related concept definition,research status at home and abroad are described,and the previous research results and shortcomings are summarized.Secondly,it introduces the theory and method of this study,including the principle and process of knowledge flow,the basic principle of LDA model,parameter estimation,the determination of the optimal number of topics and so on,which lays the theoretical foundation for the later research.Thirdly,it analyzes the process of knowledge flow from library and information science to journalism and communication science.With the help of R language,according to the subject distribution visualized by LDA model,it obtains thesubject of knowledge absorption and knowledge diffusion of Library and information science,summarizes and compares the key points of knowledge absorption and knowledge diffusion of Library and information science,as well as the differences between the two subjects.In the same way,it analyzes the process of knowledge flow from journalism and communication to library and information science,the subject of knowledge absorption of Journalism and communication science and the subject of knowledge diffusion of Journalism and communication science,summarizes and compares the key points of knowledge absorption and knowledge diffusion of Journalism and communication science,as well as the differences in research contents of the two disciplines.Finally,the paper summarizes the same topic and other topics of the two-way flow of Library Information Science and Journalism Communication Science,and then summarizes the hot topics and potential topics of the knowledge flow of Library Information Science and Journalism Communication Science,and puts forward suggestions and research conclusions,research deficiencies and research prospects from the perspective of Journal topics and authors' contributions.In this study,from the perspective of knowledge absorption and knowledge diffusion,we use LDA theme model to analyze the theme,study the knowledge flow process and content between disciplines,and realize semantic based analysis.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to analyze the two-way knowledge flow between Library and information science and Journalism and Communication Science in order to strengthen the discipline construction,enhance the knowledge flow and integration development between the two disciplines.
