The Japanese "sex slaves" system is a war crime committed by the Japanese state in the Second World War.As a complex system involving multiple characteristics of history,women,human rights,diplomacy and politics,the issue of "comfort women" is of great value in itself.From the perspective of media,it is helpful for us to view the issue of "comfort women" from a more rich perspective.The paper longitudinally combed the newspaper media's coverage of the“comfort women” issue: from the wartime reports to the subsequent years of silence,to the re-disclosure of the 1990 s,to the concentrated coverage of the related film “22,”as a whole.In fact,the number of media reports on "comfort women" is increasing.Newspaper reports show different characteristics in different historical stages.By analyzing the orientation of the reports and the characteristics of reports at different stages,one can look at the changes in media attitudes and the influencing factors behind them.The media's coverage of “comfort women” and related issues not only reflects our understanding of the “comfort women” issue but also advances this process.In this process,the image of “comfort women” in media reports has undergone a change from the victim-survivor-witness-protected person.In particular,the media's report on the film “22” has made the image of “comfort women” survivors more vivid.Multiple images are intertwined and enrich our understanding of these victims.
