| Leishu, as the special carrier of Chinese traditional culture, plays a vital role during the course of passing on Huaxia civilization and integrating ancient culture. From the Caowei period till the contemporary era, Leishu constantly evolves and takes on distinct features of each period. In the Song Dynasty, Leishu reached its peak, and it inherited the past and ushered in the future, which also clearly revealed the outline of development about ancient Leishu. In view of the above-mentioned facts, it is imperative to study the history of Leishu in separate periods and it undoubtedly can further the current research of Leishu.Standing from the philological angle, the article interprets the fundamental questions on Leishu. On the basis of that, it probes the general situation, basic types, category system, drawing materials, arrangement system, searching system of the Leishu of Song Dynasty and the position it occupies in the compilation history of Chinese ancient Leishu. The whole paper falls into six chapters.Focusing on the Leishu, Chapter One elaborates orderly in five parts: bringing out the connotation by discriminating its present definitions; tracing the origin from many aspects; differentiating the confusable conceptions such as encyclopedia, Zhengshu, anthology and so on in line with the properties; analysing the primary and evolvable functions; drawing the track of development and evolution. Chapter Two analyses the situation of survival and loss of the Leishu of Song Dynasty by diagrams according to the booklists through the ages. The article selects sometypical Leishu from the survival as the example and classifies it into many types in accordance with different standards. Chapter Three sums up the features of category by graphs and detailed analysis in the light of the representative Leishu, and induces the category system of the Leishu of Song Dynasty is a kind of multidimentional structure with transverse extension and vertical stretchability, which is the concentrated expression of enormous social knowledge system in the course of compiling Leishu. Chapter Four by illustration fully elaborates four characteristics of drawing materials, namely, extensiveness, speciality, popularity and application. Chapter Five describes the three main compilation styles adopted by the Leishu of Song Dynasty, and it shows that the Leishu of Song Dynasty has realized the in-depth combination between classification searching and subject searching. Through comparing the searching systems of past and present, we can find out the searching system of Leishu is worthy to be drawn on by the current in some regards. Chapter Six starts with the case study, and then combined with above related study, discusses the non-fungible position and the influence it exerts of the Leishu of Song Dynasty in the compilation history of Chinese ancient Leishu. Besides, the paper explores the causes from many perspectives. |
