In recent years,wisdom and mindfulness have become major themes of positive psychology,but the theoretical discussion and empirical test of them still need to be expanded.From a theoretical point of view,mindfulness from Mahayana Buddhism itself is an important training way of wisdom,in which the word “Prajna” is closely related to the concept of “wisdom”.Previous studies have explored the possibility and environment of mindfulness for wisdom development,but it is not systematic and the content is fragmented.In the empirical aspect,only a few researches exist at present,and they do not involve the promotion of wise reasoning from the perspective of mindfulness intervention,and their research tools and paradigms also have a large expansion space.Adolescence and early adulthood are the infancy of wisdom and the peak of its development,when wisdom increases rapidly with the accumulation of relevant knowledge.The development of individuals at this stage requires the development of knowledge and skills to help them cope with the uncertain challenges of life.How to cultivate the quality of wisdom or the reasoning thinking of wisdom in this period is the main problem of this research.Based on this,this study takes the early adult population as a sample to empirically explore two major issues: First,what is the relationship between mindfulness and wisdom? Second,how does mindfulness influence the growth process and improve the level of wisdom in early adulthood?Study 1 aimed to translate and revise the personal growth initiative scale which was suitable for the domestic college students.Based on the second version of personal growth initiative scale-Ⅱ(PGIS-Ⅱ),which was more mature in foreign countries,using back translation method and cognitive interview,the Chinese version of the scale which conforms to Chinese expression habits was revised.Exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis,multiple groups of confirmatory factor analysis,and reliability and validity test were carried out.Finally,the formal Chinese version of personal growth initiative scale(C-PGIS-Ⅱ),which has the same four-dimensional structure as the original English scale,is composed of 16 items.The four dimensions are Planness(1,3,5,10,13),Readiness for Change(2,8,11,16),Intentional Behavior(4,7,9,15),and Using Resource(6,12,14).Study 2(Questionnaire survey),Chinese version of Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire(Ch FFMQ),Chinese version of Personal Growth Initiative Scale-Ⅱ(C-PGIS-Ⅱ)and Situational Wise Reasoning Scale(SWIS)were used to investigate college students through cross-sectional data,the correlation among mindfulness,personal growth initiative and wise reasoning was verified.The results showed that there was a positive correlation between mindfulness,personal growth initiative and wise reasoning,and personal growth initiative plays a part of mediating role in the relationship between mindfulness and wise reasoning.Study 3(Randomized Control)is the focus of this study.The purpose of this study was to use the experimental research of randomized control group to deeply explore the internal mechanism of the path from "mindfulness to wisdom",and introduced the variable of reflection perspective.Using 2(mindfulness intervention,control intervention)× 2(self-immersion perspective,self-distanced perspective)between group design to explore the role of personal growth initiative and reflection perspective in mindfulness on wise reasoning.Results not only verified the mediating role of personal growth initiative in mindfulness and wise reasoning,but also found the moderating effect of reflective perspective,which was shown as follows:(1)Reflective perspective adjusted the impact of mindfulness on personal growth initiative,and the level of personal growth initiative increased with the improvement of mindfulness intervention effect no matter what perspective the subjects were in;(2)The perspective of reflection moderates the influence of personal growth initiative on wise reasoning,but only in the perspective of immersion can the level of wise reasoning rise with the improvement of personal growth initiative.Generally speaking,mindfulness,personal growth initiative and wise reasoning were all positively correlated,and personal growth initiative played a part of mediating role in them.To some extent,reflective perspective regulates the first half and the second half of the relationship,and only in the perspective of immersion,the second half of the regulatory effect is significant.
