In the university stage,students learn how to explore and construct knowledge of specific subjects and how to improve their various skills.Becoming independent learners plays an important role and is of great significance for students’ own growth and development,as well as the development of society and the country.Previous studies have found that interest plays an important role in the development of students’ independent learning.Interest can stimulate and mobilize students’ independent learning ability,and promote the development of independent learning.Therefore,starting from the formation process of autonomous learning,this study examined the influence process of interest on autonomous learning,and selected two variables,namely personal growth initiative and personal best goal,to examine the action mechanism of personal growth initiative and personal best goal between interest and autonomous learning,and to explore the effect of intervening in personal growth initiative and personal best goal on autonomous learning.Methods: The Personal Best Goal Questionnaire(PBQ)will be revised in Study 1.The final Chinese version of Personal Best Goal Questionnaire was obtained through translation and back translation by three experts.The initial test was conducted among 500 college students,followed by a re-test among 700 college students,and a retest with 30 students three months later.Through exploratory factor analysis,item analysis,reliability test and validity test and other psychological measures,the Chinese version of Personal Best Goal Questionnaire was standardized.In the second study,the relationship between interest,autonomous learning,initiative for personal growth,and personal best goals will be investigated.A total of 1800 college students were randomly selected to conduct a questionnaire survey.SPSS and AMOS were used to conduct independent sample t-test,correlation analysis and mediating effect test,etc.,to investigate the mechanisms of personal growth initiative and personal best goal between interest and autonomous learning.The third study examined the influence of group intervention on autonomous learning.30 people were randomly selected as the experimental group and 30 people as the control group.The experimental group was intervened on personal growth initiative and personal best goal,while the control group performed interpersonal group activities.Questionnaire survey was conducted before and after group intervention to investigate the influence of group intervention on autonomous learning.Research results:1.The revised Chinese version of the Personal Best Goal Questionnaire has good reliability and validity,and is suitable for testing Chinese college students;2.There are significant differences in interest,autonomous learning,initiative for personal growth and personal best goal among college students in terms of demographic variables such as gender,only child or not,grade,and discipline;3.There is a significant positive correlation between college students’ interest,autonomous learning,personal growth initiative,and personal best goal.And college students’ personal growth initiative and personal best goal play a chain intermediary effect between interest and independent learning;4.Intervention programs in the form of group counseling have a positive impact on autonomous learning on the basis of effectively improving college students’ personal growth initiative and personal optimal goal level. |
