In middle school Chinese reading teaching,text interpretation plays an important role.It is not only related to the quality of Chinese reading teaching,but also an important index reflecting the text analysis ability of Chinese teachers.As a literary text,the novel "step" has always been loved by readers for its rich and detailed characterization,specific and unique environmental description,profound and meaningful theme,and has always been a "frequent guest" in Chinese textbooks for middle schools in China.Many scholars and first-line teachers have interpreted it from different levels and perspectives,showing colorful interpretation Looks.Pragmatics is a discipline that studies the use of language and its laws.As an important member of pragmatics,relevance theory has a strong explanatory and descriptive power for text interpretation.Introducing relevance theory into text interpretation can not only provide new ideas for text interpretation,enrich the path of text interpretation,but also cultivate students' sensitivity to language in specific interpretation practice The ability and level of language use of senior students.This paper mainly studies the interpretation and teaching suggestions of the novel "step" from the perspective of relevance theory.On the basis of previous studies,the author extensively read a large number of documents and materials,combined with relevance theory and text interpretation practice for comprehensive analysis,and took the "step" in the third unit of the second volume of the seventh grade of Chinese as the interpretation object to demonstrate the applicability and superiority of Relevance Theory in text interpretation,and used relevance theory to interpret and interpret the "step" and then proposed Some teaching suggestions for reference and operation are put forward.This paper is divided into four parts.In the first part of the introduction,it points out the research background,research basis,research status,research methods and innovation.In the second part,the related concepts of relevance theory and the agreement between relevance theory and text interpretation are elaborated.In the third part,the author uses the relevance theory to interpret the novel steps,demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of Relevance Theory in text interpretation from the practical level,and puts forward his own views on the interpretation of steps.The fourth part abstracts the teaching suggestions of the novel "step" from the perspective of relevance theory,in order to provide some reference for the teaching of "step" andthe text interpretation in the teaching of Chinese reading.
