The theme of the 2019 National Preschool Education Publicity Month is“scientifically prepare for admission”.This is not only because admission preparation has a reliable predictability for children’s future learning process,but more importantly,it will have a profound impact on children’s lifelong learning and lifelong development.The “Kindergarten Work Regulations”,“Kindergarten Education Guidance Outline(Trial)” and “Guidelines for the learning and development of children aged 3-6” all set requirements for admission preparation.It is clearly pointed out that admission preparation enrollment requires the kindergarten,elementary school,parents,and all parties in the community should integrate resources,cooperate and connect with each other,providing favorable conditions for children in order to smoothly enter elementary school and promote children a better adaption to the next stage of study and life.Therefore,it is a critical topic to better prepare children for admission preparation and adapt to primary school life.For senior kindergarten children,the change from kindergarten to elementary school is an important milestone in their lives.Due to the huge difference in teaching content.forms,environment and learning methods between primary school and kindergartens,children need to have a certain ability to prepare for admission in order to successfully adapt to school life.Research on the level of admission preparation of senior kindergarten children reflects whether the state of preparation of the school children before entering elementary school is sufficient,at the same time,tests whether the work done by teachers and parents for children ’s school preparation are scientific and reasonable.The research explores the current status of senior kindergarten children’s admission preparation in City D of Liaoning Province through questionnaires and interviews.It reveals the problems of children’s language and cognition,behavioral adaptation,daily life skills,family support,and analyzes the cause of problems.Theconclusions of this study are as follows: senior kindergarten children have the highest level of language and cognitive preparation;Senior kindergarten children have a high level of behavioral adaptation preparation.Senior kindergarten children have a low level of preparation for daily life skills.Senior kindergarten children have the lowest level of family support in their admission preparation.According to the conclusion,education suggestions are put forward to teachers and parents in order to improve their ability to admission preparation,thus improving the level of children’s admission preparation.
