Preparatory education for ethnic minorities is a special form of schooling adopted by the state to accelerate the training of ethnic talents,is an essential part of higher education for ethnic minorities and an important guarantee to promote national stability and national unity.The party and the statehave promulgated various economic,ethnic and educational policies to ensure the political,economic,cultural and educational development of ethnic minorities,since the founding of the People's Republic of China.In 1980,the Ministry of Education issued a notice,"the pilot preparatory classesfor ethnic minorities",in some key colleges and universities,over the past 30 years,the construction of preparatory classes for ethnic minorities in China has been developing steadily with remarkable achievements.The investigation of the management results of minority preparatory students in colleges and universities in middle and western China can provide first-hand information on student work for the competent departments ofininority preparatory education,and provide some valuable management ideas and experience references for colleges and universities that participate in independent training and undertake the task of centralized training of preparatory students in the management of minority preparatory students.By means of literature review,questionnaire survey,interview and observation,this paper investigates and analyzes the achievements,experience and problems in the management of minority preparatory students in colleges and universities in middle and western China,summarizes the existing education and management experience,and discusses some methods and ideas to solve existing problems.The survey found:Over the past 30 years,shaanxi S university has senta large number of qualified ethnic minority students to colleges and universities,producedalot of high-level teaching and research results,trained a large number of outstanding minority talents for various fields of the country,and formed a systematic textbook for the management of minority preparatory students;Shaanxi S university has formed rich management experience in ideological and political education,student affairs management,education and teaching management,and evaluation and assessment of student management;College preparatory student management work,however,has some problems can not be ignored,such as the lack of professionalism of some managers of minority preparatory students,the lack of information management system of minority preparatory students,the limited professional choice of minority preparatory students,and the Iack of attention to the evaluation and assessment of the management of minority preparatory students.Research conclusions and Suggestions:In view of the problems found in the research process,the following countermeasures are proposed for the management of college preparatory students:(1)Attach importance to the professionalism of minority preparatory student management workers.(2)To build an information management system for minority preparatory students.(3)Strengthen the construction of minority preparatory teachers.(4)Perfect the details of minority preparatory student affairs management.(5)Sound the evaluation and assessment system of minority preparatory student management.
