Geometry knowledge is a very important part of junior middle school mathematics knowledge.Geometric thinking has an impact on students' comprehension ability,generalization ability,abstract ability and logical reasoning ability.Therefore,it is of great value to understand the current situation of junior high school students' geometric thinking level and analyze the factors influencing the development of junior high school students' geometric thinking level.This paper through the literature research to comb of geometrical thinking and related literature,based on geometrical thinking Van Hiele theory and combined with the characteristics of the junior middle school students,define the junior middle school students of geometrical thinking five levels(visual level,analysis level,informal deductive level,formal deductive level,rigor level)and connotation,and lay a theoretical foundation for the subsequent research.Secondly,the paper investigates the geometry thinking level of grade 8 students.The results show that the geometric thinking level of grade 8 students mainly concentrates on the informal deductive level,namely level three.Different schools and classes have differences in geometric thinking level,but the difference between male and female students is not obvious.There is a correlation between geometric thinking level and academic performance.The higher the students' geometric thinking level is,the higher the corresponding mathematical performance will be,and vice versa.Thirdly,the questionnaire is used to analyze the factors that affect students' geometric thinking level.The results show that visual students have weak ability to accept and understand,slow thinking,weak basic knowledge,lack of understanding of the basic nature of graphics,lack of self-confidence and no good drawing habits.Students at the analysis level have a poor grasp of the nature of graphics,and do not have a thorough understanding of the intrinsic property and inclusion relationship between graphics and graphics,and do not have a good grasp of rotation and diagonal lines.Students at the level of non-formal deduction lack the idea of method transformation,the habit of solving problems with multiple methods,the consciousness of trying to add various auxiliary lines when encountering difficulties,and the spirit of exploration.Students at the level of formal deduction still have deficiencies in logical reasoning,lack of multi-angle problem solving awareness and research spirit.Finally,in view of the above research on how to improve the geometric thinking level of junior high school students put forward several Suggestions...
