Group Reading is a reading teaching in which students read a series of related texts within a specified period of time.It can improve the situation of current Chinese teaching,innovation of Chinese class forms and promotion of students’ Chinese core quality.It’s well-concerned by the frontline teachers because of the maneuverability of teaching,it appears in so many areas’ teaching researches as well as practices,But most studies tend to be Primary School,rather than Junior Middle and High School.Junior Middle School stage is the peak of students’ cognition and the development of emotion.Cognitive performance is a significant improvement in observation and thinking ability,emotional aspect is manifested as the maturity of emotional cognition and the enrichment of emotional experience.Group reading requires reading multiple texts at a specified time,it is also necessary to carry out communication discussion and collective construction according to the text,it has certain requirements for students’ observation,thinking ability and emotional cognition ability.Therefore,the middle school stage to carry out group reading is conducive to giving full action to students’ psychological advantages,enable students to complete the task of reading and learning with high quality in unit time.Ancient poetry is one of the key contents of Chinese teaching.The poetic styles of the new textbook have several features as follow: For structure,based on the increase of grade,the word count and difficulty of poetry rise in gradient,rhythm harmony,antithesis neat.For colloquialism,the language rhetoric and style of ancient poems are varied.For expression,poetry presents a variety of expressions,reflecting the emotional characteristics of poetry.Considering the acceptance and comprehension ability of Junior Middle School students,most of the new teaching materials selected in the subject matter are farewell poems,friendship poems,drift-themed poems and other poems close to students’ thoughts and feelings.Thus,with the preparation of the ancient poetry complied by ministry of education as the basis for group reading has a unique advantage.To carry out group reading from the stylistic features and subject matter of poems can expand students’ cognition of poetry teaching,make it taste colorful artistic features,appreciate the unique beauty of poetry.This paper discusses from the following aspects:The introduction explores the origin,present situation,research ideas,innovation points and research methods of Group Reading.The first chapter introduces the concept,factor analysis and theoretical basis of Group Reading.The second chapter analyzes the possibility and necessity of ancient poetry complied by ministry of education Group Reading in Junior Middle School.The third chapter introduces the value of Group Reading to the teaching of ancient poetry,the development of students and teachers in Junior Middle School.The fourth chapter reveals the present situation of Group Reading teaching in Junior Middle School and analyzes the reasons.The fifth chapter carries on the goal orientation and the practice exploration to the Junior Middle School ancient poetry Group Reading.The author uses literature research method and questionnaire survey method to explore the possibility and necessity of carrying out ancient poetry Group Reading in Junior Middle School stage,puts up with the specific teaching goals and carries on the practice exploration,in order to provide the reference for the ancient poetry complied by ministry of education Group Reading teaching.
