Abstract/Summary:
Based on the background of professionalized kindergarten principal,this paper studies the professional practice of outstanding kindergarten principal and the influencing factors of excellent kindergarten principal’s professional development.It wants to provide reference for the implementation of Professional Standards of Kindergarten Principal and inspiration for professional growth of kindergarten principal.In this study,the case study method is adopted,the case of principal W is taken as subject investigated.Interviewing method,observation method and physical analysis are used to obtain information.The researcher tracked the subject for a week and conducted formal interviews five times and a number of informal interviews.Through the analysis of the data,the professional practice of principal W is presented,the various factors that influence the growth of principal W as an excellent principal is revealed,and practical reference for other principals is provided.The research results show principal W’s professional practice in six parts,including the planning of kindergarten development,cultivating culture for nurturing children,leading childcare and education,guiding the growth of teachers,optimizing the internal management and adjusting the external environment.On the basis of above results,this research explores the internal and external factors of principal W’s professional development.The internal factors lie in her diligence,being good at thinking,daring to do,tough in mind,and appropriate in method;the external factors are family environment,educational experience and career,significant others in professional development,and principal training.Based on the above professional practice and the influencing factors of professional development of principal W,the researcher proposes the following thinking about the professional development of principal.For one thing,the principal should shape the personal charisma and enhance the professional ability to give full play to subjective consciousness.For another,the education department and the administrative department should endow the full autonomy of running the kindergartens,and improve the pertinence of principal training.
