Since the implementation of the curriculum reform in 2003,the physical education curriculum in senior high schools has implemented the teaching mode of compulsory and elective courses,and the basketball elective course has also emerged.After more than ten years of development,basketball elective courses have seen initial results,but some problems have also been exposed in the course of curriculum implementation.The basketball module of the textbook of physical education and health course of ordinary high school does not divide the teaching content according to the grade,so how to set up the teaching content of the different grade Basketball Optional Course reasonably,scientifically control the difficulty and breadth of the teaching content,realize the effective connection of the teaching contents of every grade,and make the students pass the option of 3 years.Curriculum learning,basketball skill level has been improved significantly,experience progress and success,improve the interest in basketball,and promote the formation and development of their lifelong sports concept is a problem worthy of study.Based on this,the author set up the course content of the high grade Basketball Options in the middle of the Xi’an riparian school as the research object,taking the optional course students as the experimental object,and carried on the experimental research to the teaching content of the basketball option course.The research adopts the literature research method to obtain the theory of basketball course theory and the theory of course teaching.The questionnaire survey method and interview method are used to investigate and interview the relevant experts,first-line teachers and students in order to obtain the information materials of the teaching theory,content setting and students’ needs of the basketball option course.The relevant data and data were classified,sorted and analyzed by means of experiment and mathematical statistics.The results of the study are as follows:(1)according to the physical quality level,skill level and psychological cognition level of the first grade students,the capacity and difficulty of the teaching content of the basketball option course are set up reasonably.The basketball skill level of the students in the experimental class has been promoted,and the students’ interest in learning is also aroused.(2)in the content setting,the experimental class basketball option course arranges appropriate physical fitness exercises in each class,which not only adapts to the requirements of the technical teaching for the physical quality,but also promotes the development of the students’ physical health.(3)the first grade basketball elective course to review the basic techniques such as dribbling,passing,throwing and other basic techniques that have been learned by junior high school,and using technical combination to gradually increase the difficulty and enrich the content of teaching,reduce the learning of difficult technology and tactics,and ensure the practice time of the basic skills of the students.It has improved the stability and proficiency of students’ basic basketball skills,and basically formed the correct action stereotype.(4)the teaching effect of the experimental class and the skill level of the students have been greatly improved on the basis of the reasonable allocation of the teaching content.In order to promote the relevant research and development of the content selection of high school sports elective courses,and further improve the quality of teaching,the following suggestions are put forward on the basis of this experiment.(1)setting up the content of the teaching contents of different grade students should set up the capacity and difficulty of teaching content according to the level of physical quality,skill level and psychological cognition level of the students of different grades,so that the content of teaching in every grade can be connected effectively,and the content of teaching in different grades should be hierarchical.Through reasonable teaching content learning,students can experience the feeling of progress and success,improve their interest in learning,and lay the foundation for lifelong sports.(2)in the implementation of Basketball Optional Course,the teaching content should be combined with the combination of basketball skill and tactics and special physical quality to carry out the teaching of Basketball Options,and the special physical quality exercises should be integrated into each class,and the teaching should be organized in the way of games to promote the improvement of the physical quality of the students.(3)the content of basketball skill teaching in senior high school should be set up mainly by reviewing the basic contents such as dribbling,passing and throwing in junior high school,and gradually increasing the difficulty,enriching the teaching content,improving the students’ learning interest and the stability of the basic technology use,for the next high difficulty.Teaching lays a solid foundation.(4)the time arrangement of each technology in basketball technology teaching should be arranged according to the time that the skill of the technology is formed,that is,to arrange the class time,to simplify the teaching content,and to allocate the different difficult technology reasonably,to ensure that the students have sufficient time to consolidate and internalize the project.
