Since China formally entered the aging society in 1999, and its increasing levels of aging, along with the rapid increase of aging population, how to provide effective security for the elderly has become an urgent issue. Communities as the main place for the old in social life. And its quality of life is important components of life quality to the elderly.Because of the level of current community construction in China is behind, so communities are unable to meet the needs of the elderly. Spontaneous and autonomous organization of older persons were assume to shoulder the responsibilities to meet the needs, through their own voluntary activities, community life was greatly enriched. But there are a lot of problems, and this paper is to examine the methods of social work intervention in the construction of community autonomy organization and by reflect problems that already occurred to establish a community autonomous organizations of older persons, which can stay alive for a long time, and study the role of social work plays in.Through doing case interviews and succeeding questionnaires to the individuals who live in the East Lake community in Changchun, the author found that the elderly's demand for community activities, and made group activities in the guidance of the advantages view theories. By sparking the team problem-solving potential of group member, as well as teaching them problem-solving mode, and leding them to build a different long vitality of community autonomy organization, the author study the effectiveness of group work interventions through the whole process and reflect the disadvantage of the it.Through the intervention process, we can found that group work approach can guide team members build a better autonomy community organization than before and through later assessment we also can found that activities was meat the needs of older persons on community life, but its effects still need to further long-term observation, judgment is not yet to be made.
