The 2018 tourism training programs were sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China,with Harbin University of Commerce as an organizer and Heilongjiang University as a co-organizer.The Report on the Interpretation of the2018 Tourism Training Programs was based on the lectures of the programs which were held from May 9th to June 28th,2018.During the programs,the writer worked as an interpreter of four lectures,including Tourism Product Development and Marketing,A Brief History of China,Tourist Attractions in China and Characteristics of Chinese Visitors Traveling Overseas.During her C-E interpreting practice,the writer encountered three major problems,such as mis-interpreting place names,disfluent interpretation and illogical interpretation.The writer summarized the reasons as follows:the writer's unawareness of the principle of place-name translation,her shortage of English expression for geography knowledge,her lack of the ability to quickly organize the source-language logic and her shortage of the C-E interpretation ability.The writer came up with different solutions to these problems,such as applying the principle of place-name translation,improving the ability of core-information extraction,enhancing the quality of C-E interpretation and revealing the implicit logic.
