The Strategy Of Consecutive Interpretation Practice In Conference

The studying material of this interpretation report is selected from “China Pavilion inCOP18/CMP8DOHA of United Nations Climate Conference”, which was held in QatarNational Conference Center in December,6th,2012. Since any readily translating text forreference has never been found, this term of seminar is fit for being used in interpretingpractice. First, the author listens to the speakers as give consecutive interpretation recording,translating every speaker’s speech into target languages; then, the author dictates and writesdown the contents of every speaker’s speech as well as the interpreted record word for word;the last step is proofreading and revising the content of interpreting. The report lays greatemphasis on the matter of how to use effective strategies in the process of interpreting, so thatthe words content translated can convey the speakers’ original meaning more accurately, morecompletely, and the interpreting practice will realize the expected purposes successfully. Atthe same time, the report also lists several problems and difficulties encountered in thetranslation process, which serves as materials for further studying and contemplating tosolutions.
