Objective: To observe the clinical effect of qi stagnation and blood stasis in treating primary dysmenorrhea with Chifeng Yingyuan acupuncture, and to provide clinical basis for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. Methods: 60 patients with primary dysmenorrhea of qi stagnation and blood stasis type were randomly divided into Chifeng Yingyuan group(treatment group)and twist diarrhea group(control group),30 patients in each group. The two groups were treated 6 days before menstruation, with a total of 3 menstrual cycles. The changes of visual analogue scale(VAS-P)and TCM symptom scale of dysmenorrhea before and after treatment were recorded and analyzed. Results: After 3 cycles of treatment,VAS-P score and TCM symptom score of dysmenorrhea in both groups were lower than before, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05),indicating that both groups could improve patients' pain symptoms. The difference between the two groups after treatment was statistically significant(P < 0.05),indicating that the treatment group was superior to the control group. In terms of overall efficacy, the total effective rate of the treatment group was 92.59%,and that of the control group was 81.48%.The overall efficacy of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Both chifeng yingyuan method and twist and turn diarrhea method can alleviate dysmenorrhea symptoms and discomfort reactions of dysmenorrhea patients. And the effect of yingyuan method of red phoenix is better than that of twirling and purging method.
