Observation On The Clinical Efficacy Of Auricular Point Pressing Seed Combined With Acupuncture In The Treatment Of Refractory Hiccups Caused By Radiotherapy And Chemotherapy Of Malignant Tumors

Purpose:Under the guidance of traditional Chinese medicine theory,the intractable hiccup caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy of malignant tumor was used as the research object,and the auricular acupoint pressing seed combined with acupuncture was used as the treatment method.To explore the clinical effect of auricular acupoint seed pressing combined with acupuncture on intractable hiccup caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy of malignant tumor,and to provide the basis for optimizing clinical treatment of this disease.Material and method:Sixty patients with intractable hiccup caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy of malignant tumor were collected from oncology department of the second affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese Medicine.The patients were randomly divided into treatment group(auricular acupoint pressing with acupuncture)and control group(simple western medicine group),30 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated with auricular acupoint pressing seed combined with acupuncture,the control group was treated with metoclopramide intramuscular injection.Both groups were treated with hiccup symptoms disappeared after the initial treatment,if there were hiccup symptoms,the next day repeated,until the hiccup symptoms disappeared.The frequency of hiccup,duration of hiccup,score of hiccup symptom,onset time,diet,sleep and mental state before and after treatment were observed and compared between the two groups.Results:(1)In the frequency of hiccup,compared with before treatment,the frequency of hiccup in both groups was significantly reduced after treatment(P<0.05).Compared with the control group of the same time,the frequency of hiccups in the treatment group 1,2 and 3d was significantly lower(t=3.127,6.596,15.145,P=0.006,0.000,0.000 < 0.01).(2)In terms of the duration of hiccup,the duration of hiccup in both groups was significantly decreased compared with that before treatment(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group of the same time,the duration of hiccup in the treatment group 1,2 and 3d was significantly lower(t=2.889,9.096,11.853,P=0.009,0.000,0.000 < 0.01).(3)In the score of hiccups,the scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group of the same time,the scores of hiccups in the treatment group 1,2 and 3 were significantly lower(t=2.665,5.743,8.234,P=0.015,0.000,0.000 < 0.05).(4)Compared with the control group,the effective time of treatment was shorter(t=2.671,P=0.015 < 0.05).(5)In terms of diet,sleep and mental state,the diet,sleep and mental status scores of the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group,the diet,sleep and mental status scores of the treatment group were significantly lower(t=3.421,2.918,3.552,P=0.003,0.009,0.002 < 0.01).(6)In terms of clinical efficacy,after 7d treatment,the total effective rate of the control group was 83.33%,and the total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%,which was statistically significant(Z=-2.029,P=0.042 < 0.05).Conclusion:The effects of auricular pressure seeds and acupuncture on the treatment of intractable hiccups in malignant tumor were effective and effective,and could improve the patients' diet,sleep and mental status.
