Clinical Observation Of Xiaochaihu Decoction In The Treatment Of Slow Transit Constipation

Purpose:To observe modified decoction of Xiaochaihu compared with Uccinate Prucca Billy in treating STC by investigating the changes of the score of constipation symptom,the output quantity of markers in CTT,the score of self-rating scale anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale,and discuss the clinical effect of modified decoction of Xiaochaihu.Material and method:Randomized,controlled method was applied in this experiment.The 120 cases which had been diagnosed STC were all outpatients picked from the Third Affiliated Hospital of Traditional Chinese medicine from October 2015 to November 2017.According to random number table method,the patients were divided into treatment group(modified decoction of Xiaochaihu)and control group(Uccinate Prucca Billy),each group of 60 cases.The treatment group was given a daily dose of modified decoction of Xiaochaihu,decocted with water orally,100 ml three times a day.The control group was given Uccinate Prucca Billy 2mg orally once daily.Each patient was treated four weeks,two weeks as a course.The two groups of patients were evaluated in the score of constipation symptom,the output quantity of markers in CTT,the score of self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale before and after treatment along with clinical efficacy and safety.The patients were followed up after 3 months of treatment.Results: 1.In the relief of constipation symptom,the effective rate of the treatment group is 79.3%,and the control group is 72.4%.The constipation symptom,the output quantity of markers in CTT are all improved in both groups.The treatment group(modified decoction of Xiaochaihu)is equals to control group(Uccinate Prucca Billy)in improving constipation symptoms and increasing the output quantity of markers in CTT.There are no obvious differences(P>0.05).The recurrence rate of treatment group is lower than the control group 3 months after treatment(P<0.05),which has statistical difference.2.In the relief of anxiety or depression symptom,compared with before treatment,score of self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale are both improved after treatment,P<0.05,which has statistical difference.Compared with the control group,score of self-rating anxiety scale and self-rating depression scale are both improved after treatment.The treatment group is superior to the control group in relieving anxiety and depression symptom(P<0.05),which has statistical difference.Conclusion: 1.Modified decoction of Xiaochaihu can treat STC by reducing the score of constipation and increasing the output quantity of markers in CTT which is equals to Uccinate Prucca Billy.The method has certain effect.The long-term curative effect of Modified decoction of Xiaochaihu is better than Uccinate Prucca Billy.2.Modified decoction of Xiaochaihu can relieve the symptoms of anxiety and depression,and ease the anxiety and depression mood,which is better than Uccinate Prucca Billy,and improves the quality of life and shows the advantage of TCM.
