The Research And Practice Of Traditional Festival Visual Elements In The Design Of Household Products

Traditional festivals originated from the farming era and have become an important part of the Chinese nation's long history and culture after thousands of years of refinement and transmission from generation to generation.With the changes of the times,some festival ceremonies and customs have faded out of people's sight,while when western festivals such as Christmas come,many young people show great enthusiasm for participation and blindly follow the trend,resulting in the proliferation of "foreign festivals" and the marginalization of excellent traditional festival culture.From the design point of view,we can find that western festivals integrate distinct visual elements with fashion elements.Chinese traditional festivals lack the combination of visual elements and fashion elements.The author will explore the integration of traditional culture and fashion elements through the combination of traditional festivals and modern product design,thus building a bridge to traditional culture for the younger generation.The inheritance of traditional festival culture also needs the consumer market and new derivative products as the carrier.This topic takes the innovative design research of Dragon Boat Festival visual elements as an example,and takes the design of household goods as the carrier to construct a new mode of traditional culture inheritance.Through inquiring the relevant information of traditional festivals,combing and analyzing the visual elements of traditional festivals,on the basis of in-depth excavation of cultural connotation of festivals,the representative visual elements are extracted,and the visual elements are innovatively designed in combination with the aesthetic taste of people at present and combined with the design of household products to realize the collision between traditional culture and fashion elements.The research results in this paper can provide some reference value for the innovative design of other traditional cultures.Through the practice of festival visual elements in the design of household goods,it can expand its application field,lead people to understand the deep-seated festival culture,and protect and inherit the traditional festival,an intangible culture,in a brand-new way of communication.
