With the rapid growth of automobile sales in China,the trading volume of used cars has steadily increased with the trading scale increased year by year.Especially in recent years,exponential explosive growth in the trading of used cars took place.However,China’s used car market is still in the initial stage of development,where the process of asymmetric trading information is not transparent,the relevant laws and regulations,policies and credit system are not perfect,and the cross-regional circulation efficiency is low,which seriously hinder the development of China’s used car market.With the introduction of the concept of Internet +,the uesd car market has developed rapidly.E-commerce dealers of used cars use big data technology and mobile Internet technology to solve the problem of information inequality in the process of trading.Through more transparent and professional detection technology,consumers’ confidence in buying used cars has been enhanced.At the same time,the special features of the Internet platform offered great convenience for the cross-regional trades of the used cars.It can be seen that the “Internet + used car” has brought greater imagination to the market.From the perspective of business model and based on the theory of business model innovation,this paper studies the business model of used cars of guazi.com,trying to combine the theory of business model innovation with the characteristics of used-car industry.Firstly,based on the summary of the literature on business model theory,this paper clarifies the concept connotation of business model from the definition,constituent elements,theoretical model,innovation of business model and evaluation of business model.It holds that business model is a transaction structure composed of constituent elements,which is used to describe the value proposition,value creation,value transmission and value acquisition of the enterprises.Secondly,this paper briefly summarizes the development of the used-car industry in developed countries and its enlightenment to China used-car market,and analyses several main business models of existing used car e-commerce.Then,using the classical “nine-factor model” of business model theory,this paper analyses the business model of the used car trading network of guazi.com,and considers that although C2 C trading service model has occupied the dominant position at present,it still has obvious defects,and its business model must be adjusted.Finally,according to the theory of business model innovation,this paper provides some suggestions for the used car platform of guazi.com to adjust its business model.It believes that it should maintain the core business of the used car as the main premise,build a “comprehensive one-stop used car O2 O service platform”covering a multi-business system,integrate the whole process of automobile consumption service providers,and provide consumers with diversified online and offline service within the life cycle of the vehicle. |
