With the melting of Arctic glaciers, the important strategic position of the Arctic region has made Arctic route development a major research direction for the Arctic issue. As a near-Arctic country, the UK has also played an important role in the history of Arctic development. From the end of the 15 th century to the 16 th century,Britain was among the first countries to participate in overseas exploration and colonization, and a large number of British navigators participated in the exploration and development activities of the northern seas and seas.In 1553,the British explorer Qiansell sailed along the northern part of the European continent and found a sea route to Russia. On this basis, the first foreign-invested concession company in the UK was born, which opened the door to direct trade between the UK and Russia. This paper attempts to illustrate the British geography exploration, route development, and marine foreign trade activities in the early northern seas by combing the British seafarers' exploration activities in the northern seas during the 16 th century and changing the British-Russian trade activities during the period.Contribute and correctly evaluate the impact of the British North Sea exploration activities and the British-Russian maritime trade.
