Evaluation Research On Route Selection Of China-Europe Container Trade Under The Background Of Arctic Navigation

As the world’s highest latitude ocean,the Arctic Ocean has a very harsh climate and cannot be navigated on a large scale.However,as the momentum of global warming continues to intensify,the melting speed of the Arctic Ocean’s ice is accelerating,and the conditions for navigation are gradually becoming available.By2050 at the latest,the Arctic Ocean will be navigable throughout the year.The opening of the Arctic route will greatly shorten the trade distance between my country and Europe,which will have a huge impact on the pattern of maritime trade between China and Europe.As we all know,the traditional sea routes connecting China-Europe trade are the Suez route through the Mediterranean Sea and the Suez Canal and the Cape of Good Hope route around the Cape of Good Hope.The advantages and limitations of the Arctic routes and the traditional routes,taking appropriate measures to give full play to the advantages of the new routes,and promoting trade development has become a topic that needs to be studied urgently.This article focuses on this topic.First of all,this article sorts out and reviews previous studies on Arctic routes and container transportation,and analyzes the current distribution of China-Europe trade container routes and the advantages and disadvantages of traditional routes and Arctic routes.Subsequently,this paper uses the entropy weight-double base point method to evaluate and analyze the choice of China-Europe trade container routes from four aspects: economic factors,technical factors,political factors,and safety factors.The results show that the Arctic route is superior to the traditional route in terms of economic and political factors,but it performs poorly in terms of technical and safety factors.However,the Arctic route is far superior to the Suez route and the Cape of Good Hope route in terms of comprehensive evaluation.It has huge advantages and potentials under the background of general aviation in 2016.Then this article conducts a comprehensive analysis of the reasons for each route’s excellent or poor performance in the four factors.Finally,on the basis of the comprehensive evaluation results and the analysis behind the reasons,this article focuses on how to fully exploit the advantages of the Arctic route,from the perspective of economic factors,From the perspective of technical factors,political factors,and security factors,we put forward countermeasures and suggestions,respectively,that the country should vigorously support the development of the Arctic route;deepen economic cooperation with countries along the route;actively participate in Arctic affairs and fight against the"private management of the Arctic" by countries in the region "And actively use emerging technologies to improve airline safety issues.Take this as a reference for the future development of Arctic routes.
