Research At Yan'an Academy Of Natural Sciences

During the period of the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation,the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region was the seat of the red capital of Yan'an,and it was a model base for Anti-Japanese Warfare,and it was also the political center of the nation and the world.In the late 30s and early 40s of last century,the situation of China' s War of Resistance Against Japan had a major turning point.After Japanese imperialism invaded and occupied Wuhan,it adopted the strategy of " using China to make China".At this time,the diehards of Kuomintang also launched the first anti-communist climax,and continued to intensify the economic blockade of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region,causing serious difficulties for the people's life and the military ' s finances in the border areas.In order to reverse the difficult situation at that time,and promote the economic development of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region and guarantee the military needs of the war of resistance,the Party Central Committee has determined the principle of developing self-supporting economy,and mobilized and absorbed some scientific and technical personnel and young students to study and work in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region,and decided to establish Yan'an Academy of Natural Science,carrying out natural science education,conducting scientific research work,and cultivating professional scientific and technological talents to assist the government in developing the economic construction,military construction,and cultural construction in the border areas,and solving material difficulties and improving people' s life.Taking history as a mirror,and identifying today.The Yan'an Academy of Natural Science is the first engineering university,which led and founded by the Communist Party of China in Yan ' an,covering the disciplines of science,engineering,agriculture and so on,and it is the beginning of the Communist Party's leadership in higher natural science education,it also occupies an important page in the history of modern science and technology education in China.Since the establishment of the Yan'an Academy of Natural Science,all teachers and students have united all scientific and technical workers in the border area,vigorously launched natural science teaching and research activities,and developed a number of scientific and technological achievements,and accumulated rich experience,and trained a group of scientific and technological cadres.Therefore,a systematic study of the Yan'an Academy of Natural Science,not only can provide experience for the development of science and technology and education in China,but also can honor the glorious tradition of hard work from the Communist Party,and pass on the Yan'an spirit forever.For this purpose,this study is mainly carried out in the following four aspects:First of all,in the introduction part,I discusse the reasons and significance of selected topics,the research overviews,the definitions,research ideas and methods,innovations and deficiencies,etc.,and make the basic preparation for this study.Second,I analyse the background and development process of Yan' an Academy of Natural Science.In the background section,I describe the social development situation and the absurd situation of the natural science in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia region at that time,and discussed the causes of the backwardness of this area from the four aspects:industry,agriculture,education,and health care;In the development process section,the four development stages of the Yan'an Academy of Natural Science are described in detail in conjunction with historical materials,namely,the preparatory construction phase,the overall development phase,the adjustment phase,and the recovery phase.Third,I comb the teaching and research activities of the Yan'an Academy of Natural Sciences.The teaching situation of the Yan' an Academy of Natural Science and the merged Academy of Natural Sciences of Yan ' an University,which is analyzed mainly from the aspects of the education policy,the school system and the curriculum(teaching content),and the teaching methods of the department-level organization,and a simple comparative study is conducted;then,systematically discusse the scientific research activities of each departments,and summarize the scientific research achievements of the Yan' an Academy of Natural Science.Fourth,the contributions of the Yan'an Academy of Natural Science are thoroughly discussed in five aspects.This is mainly manifested in supporting the military construction,promoting the economic development,propagating and popularizing the scientific knowledge,cultivating a group of professional and technical cadres,and accumulating profound school running experiences..
